KONAMI has released the PES 2020 Datapack 5.0 update on 5th March, 2020, for both Console and Mobile, which was the most unexpected update in the game, following their tease of updates and changes which were to happen after the update didn’t really tell most of their players. With most of them expected just the addition of new face updates and potential upgrades, KONAMI did surprise most of its users by dropping out new players in the form of LEGENDS, whom in turn will be featured as ICONIC MOMENT STARS, who will have a version of their Iconic Performance.
So, in this article, we have tried to club all the major news from the PES 2020 Datapack 5.0 Update and inform many about the updates that happened. If you haven’t read our other articles on PES, give those a read.
1. Updated Player Faces
During the Datapack 4.0 update recently, PES did make major updates regarding player faces. But still few faces were left out without a proper update. These major changes were expected as players were not satisfied on how the manually designed faces of some players spoiled the rhythm of the game because it made the games less exciting and irritating to watch. But after the PES 2020 Datapack 5.0 Update, around 30 players have their faces updated in game, make sure to check them out.
2. Iconic Moment Series
The biggest surprise in this PES 2020 Datapack 5.0 Update came in the form of the release of ‘Iconic Moment Series’, where players in this series come with boosted stats that reflect their performance during a standout match in their career. Their cards even feature unique designs based on photos taken during the same match. This would involve a lot of Legends getting featured in the game, which will further increase the excitement of many players to go and try their luck on grabbing some of those players.
In addition, these players come with a unique feature that allows you to boost their stats even further by having your preferred club matching that particular player club. For example, A 96 rated IMS Maradona will get an overall rating boost of +2, which also includes his stat increase as well, if you select your club as ‘Barcelona’.

3. Strips
KONAMI released a memorandum kit of German giants Bayern Munich, who are celebrating their 120 year anniversary during the PES 2020 Datapack 5.0 update. It is an Official release and dons a fresh strip and a new logo.
