FRACTiLE Games has launched their new score‑driven twin‑stick shooter title, Phobos Down, now available on Android. Originally launched on PC in December 2025 by this indie solo game dev, the game now brings the full experience to mobile, though an iOS release is not confirmed.
Dive in to a stripped down sci-fi world to mow down swarms of monsters
So, Phobos Down is a minimalist sci-fi twin stick shooter that sticks to the basics and puts all its focus on smooth controls and action. Here, you play as a corporation contract worker, tasked with recovering lost cargo on a remote and dangerous planet full of hostile lifeforms.

Gameplay wise, you can tweak your weapons while cutting through waves of different enemies to earn scores and unlock better gear. Personally, I’m actually liking the raw and unrefined visuals, with just you, three guns, and nonstop action with the enemies thanks to procedurally generated missions.
Beyond that, you can enjoy unique randomized missions or weekly challenges, where everyone plays under the same condition and battles for top scores. Overall, the game looks worth checking, especially knowing the dev took spent 4 years on it and still has “quite a few ideas for new enemies and gear.“
Phobos Down is now available on Android, and you can go ahead and download the game via the Google Play Store. However, iOS users will have to wait as there is no information regarding the iOS release. Stay tuned for more updates!
