Pokémon Go August 2022 update introduces a bag with additional item storage

This update introduces extra storage, Lucky Eggs and much more!

Pokémon Go is a popular mobile game from Niantic that combines gaming with the real world with the help of augmented reality. They use a mapping technology that works in such a way that players can catch and train Pokémon in real-life locations. The game often comes up with new events and updates to keep players interested and happy. The recent Pokémon Go update increases the storage capacity for trainers along with a higher cap which will now be available for purchase to them.

Pokémon Go’s new update introduces extra storage capacity

This will not be the first time that the storage gets increased because Niantic brings out upgrades like this from time to time to cater to their player’s needs as eventually new Pokémon get introduced into the game and thus players need more space to catch and store them.

This update was released on August 26, 2022, and has been one which the players had been asking for quite some time. This news was picked up by Leek Duck which is a popular account for revealing various updates and leaks about many popular mobile games.

Players will receive various rewards after purchasing the Training Box

Since this update, players can now reach 6150 Pokémon Storage and 5150 Item Storage through shop purchases from now on. The developers have also introduced a special Training Box costing 550 Pokécoins. Players who will buy it will get the following items.

  • An item bag upgrade
  • 30 Pokéballs
  • The Pokémon storage upgrade
  • 5 lucky eggs

Players can also choose not to buy this item and buy everything included in it separately. They can increase their Pokémon Storage and Item Bag capacity by 50 units each time they upgrade it using 290 Pokécoins. Lucky eggs can also be bought separately for 80 Pokécoins. In this way, they can get the same things and save themselves 250 Pokécoins. Players can also claim extra Pokéballs from Amazon Prime Gaming’s August Bundle for various events.
