Pokémon Go: Datamine reveals new Gen 7 Pokémon, Shadow Latias, and more

Lots of exciting new assets have been added to the Game Master file in the last few days.

Pokémon Go’s latest data mine has revealed a lot of updates coming to the game including the new Gen 7 Pokémon. Two weeks ago we saw Salandit and Dewpider added to the master file, and this week their evolutions, Salazzle and Araquanid have been added. Stufful and Bewear have also joined them, along with their shiny forms, in anticipation of Stufful Community Day.

Pokémon Go New Gen 7 Pokémon: Shadow Latias

Still, there is no word on when we will see the Salandit or Dewpider families. We know we are getting a new Alola Pokémon with Sustainability Week, Salandit or Dewpider could appear as part of this.

Some upcoming Pokémon to get you hyped are:

  • Sudowoodo
  • Girafarig
  • Numel
  • Camerupt
  • Latias
  • Shinx
  • Luxio
  • Luxray

So far it looks like Shadow Latias will be Giovanni’s next Legendary Pokémon. The Shinx family is a popular family too and would be great as one of the Team GO Rocket leaders Pokémon. Imagine the visual flair, a shiny shadow Shinx will bring to the game.

Movesets have been added for Salandit and Salazzle, which implies they might be coming really soon. They would fit great with the teased All-Hands Rocket Retreat event, so we could potentially even see them appearing this weekend. After a quick glance, JRE is hyped for Salazzle in both Great and Ultra League PvP.

New Retro Cup logo unveiled

To make things more interesting the Retro Cup has a new logo with a fun seventies sort of style. Retro Cup starts on April 19th and only the first 15 Pokémon types, excluding Dark, Steel, and Fairy types, will be usable, with a CP limit of 1,500.

Mudkip and Professor Willow photobombs have been added. It seems that Mudkip is being added to the Mudkip Community Day Classic which will take place on the 10th of April. However, speculation is swirling around Professor Willow’s addition to the game. Like always Pokemon GO players must remember that these updates have been datamined and are subject to change.
