This January will be the first Community Day of 2022 in Pokémon GO where trainers will see the featured Pokémon Spheal and its appearance in the wild. The Community Day will also have many bonuses and research tasks and, many more.
Pokémon GO January 2022 Community Day: Featured Pokémon
This January the Pokémon Spheal will be appearing more frequently in the wild with a red winter-themed scarf wrapped around. If trainers are lucky, they might encounter a shiny one as well.
Special Research Story: The Spheal Deal
A research task dedicated to the featured Pokémon Spheal will be live during Community Day 2022. One can buy tickets to be a part of the research story.
- For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access the Spheal Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, The Spheal Deal!

Trainers Note: The Tickets are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Please note that this Special Research will not include an in-game medal.
New Exclusive Attack of Spheal’s evolution
After evolving Sealeo (Spheal’s Evolution) during the Community Day 2022 event or catching Spheal for two hours, trainers will get a Walrein that will come with a new exclusive Charged Attack Icicle Spear and Fast Attack Powder Snow.

January 2022 Community Day: Event Bonuses
Trainers will get long-lasting bonuses in Pokémon GO that will boost their XPs quickly during the Comunity Day 2022 event.

- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- Trainers might find a surprise after Taking a few snapshots during the January Community Day 2022
Community Day Event Bundles
There’ll be a special one-time-purchase Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokéCoins, featuring 50 Ultra Balls, five Super Incubators, five Lucky Eggs, and an Elite Fast TM in the Shop. Trainers will also get a bundle containing 30 Ultra Balls that will be available in the shop at no cost for trainers to pick them up.
Pokémon GO January 2022 Community Day: Date
Trainers will be able to take part in the January Community Day 2022 event from Sunday, January 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time with Spheal’s appearance starting from January 16th.
