Pokémon GO: Everything you need to know about Lure Modules

Trainers can attract a wide range of Pokemon

Lure Modules are useful items in Pokemon GO for trainers that are used on any Pokestop to attract wilder Pokémons nearby it. It can be activated by tapping on the small pink Lure button on the Pokestop screen with will cause a pink petal of a flower to swirl around the Pokestop. Lure Modules last for 30 minutes by default. Trainers! if you are within the range of the Pokestop then it will appear for all of them. Moreover, Lured Pokémons appear with special swirling petals ring around them. 

Other than the standard ones there are 4 special Lure Modules that have the ability to attract specific types of Pokémon that also allow certain Pokémon to evolve in the vicinity of the Lured Pokestop. Trainers can purchase Lure Modules from the shop and normal ones are awarded for reaching certain levels. Also, do note that all types of Lure Modules are also rewarded for research tasks.

Types of Lure Modules in Pokemon GO

1. Standard Lure Module

This standard lure module can be purchased, earned, and rewarded after completing Special Research tasks. It is activated at a Pokestop location to increase the rate of appearance of Pokémon for Trainers in the nearby area. You can purchase this item for 100 points from Shop and for 680 points you can purchase eight normal Lure Modules.

2. Glacial Lure Module

The specialty of the Glacial Lura Module is it only attracts Ice and Water types Pokémon. Not only this if trainers want, but they can also evolve Eevee into Glaceon with help of this. You can purchase this item for 200 points from the shop.

This Module will attract bug, Green, and poison types of Pokémon in the area. Mossy modules are also considered to be your go-to in acquiring the Eeveelution Leafeon.

You can purchase this at 200 points from the shop.

Trainers, you receive Lure Modules as a reward in achieving specific levels

  • At level 8,10, 15,25 and 35 you will receive one Lure Module
  • At level 20 players will get two of these modules
  • At level 30 three of them will be received by players
  • At level 40 you will be rewarded with four Lure Modules.
