The limited-time open beta test for Pokémon Sleep from The Pokémon Company on Android has recently commenced in select regions. These tests will last for two additional days and come to a close on July 13th.
Pokémon Sleep aims to turn sleep into entertainment
First announced as an accessory set compatible with Pokemon GO Plus+ in 2019 by The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Sleep which was scheduled to release this summer on June 14, 2023, before moving to a new schedule. It was recently announced that the release has moved to late July this year.

In this adventure, you will conduct research on how Pokémon sleep. Collaborate closely with the island’s residents, the mighty Snorlax, and the esteemed Professor Neroli, who is dedicated to studying the various sleeping patterns of Pokémon. The game will let the fans of the franchise analyze their sleep trends with the help of their favorite Pokémon Sleeping beside them.
To play, simply position your smartphone near your pillow before going to sleep, allowing it to record and assess your sleep. The duration of your sleep directly impacts your morning score, with longer sleep durations resulting in higher scores. There are different patterns indicated as well, like Curled, Droopy-Eared, etc. Pokemon GO Plus+ comes to your aid to keep track of the cycle.
How to participate in the open beta as a tester
Players can participate in the open beta by becoming a Tester, which is made possible thanks to Google Play Open testing. Access the link here to open the Pokemon Sleep test page, and click on Become a Tester after which you’ll receive an update. If accepted, you can download the game and participate in the beta until July 13th.
The testing is currently open for players from Argentina, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. Players from other regions can pre-register on Android via the Google Play Store. The iOS pre-registrations are scheduled for later at an unannounced date.
Alongside the beta test, Pokemon Sleep has rolled out in some regions and is now available on iOS and Android in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Latin American regions.
