Pokémon Unite MOBA reveals 2022 insights; New patch information is leaked

Despite a dry month in January, lots of new updates and insights await us!

The month of January 2023 has been anything, but interesting for the Pokemon Unite MOBA players. As it had already been anticipated beforehand, that January would be a dry month, in terms of roster additions and events likewise, it indeed became true. However, there might be a certain change to the Pokemon as revealed by ElChicoEevee’s tweet. Youtuber Superteeds has also put forward this information. Besides, the official Pokémon Unite Twitter page has also revealed some stats and insights from 2022, which we would be looking forward to, in this piece.

Pokémon Unite 2022 Year Insights

The popular MOBA has recently crossed its 2nd year in business. The game has made it through the entirety of 2022 and still got the hype going into the February of 2023. Some of the insights recently revealed that in the time between the 1st of January, 2022 to the 31st of December in 2022, as many as 2,082,549,005 battles were contested, including all the formats of the game. Furthermore, players combined spent as much as 675,424,684 hours in the game overall, as the developers revealed.

Also, Pokémon Unite Twitter has also revealed its top 3 most popular monsters in the game. Although it’s far from a surprise that the mascot of the company, Pikachu would be clear on top, people started to talk about the Pika-party mode, where one could only choose Pikachu.

The yellow mouse is almost 26 million selections ahead of the 2nd placed Greninja, which is about 2 million selections more than Charizard. No doubt that Ash’s most popular 3 Pokémon would also be popular in the game. Several factors like the free price, and existence in the game from the very beginning, have all combined roles in such statistics.

Pokemon Unite January-end 2022 Patch Update: Leaks

Besides the official insights, the reliable datamine leaker ElChicoEevee has come up with the final leak for the month of January. Youtuber SuperTeeds has also put forward the same patch leaks. According to them, January might end with changes to certain Pokemon in the roster.

Currently, the troublemakers for opponents, Scizor, and Sableye would be getting nerfs. Besides, former troublemakers like Mr. Mime and Red Urshifu would also be getting the same. The only Pokemon receiving the buff would be the Blue Urshifu, maybe to increase its popularity.

Final Thoughts

The month of February in the year 2022 awaits Comfey and probably Zacian. Players and fans can keep following us for further leaks and updates to the game. Hopefully, there will be a number of new events and a lot of new Pokémon released in the new year!
