Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets India’s top gaming creators, shares vision to revolutionize gaming in India

A huge boost to Indian gaming!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met with India’s leading gaming creators, where he articulated a vision aimed at transforming the gaming landscape within the country. Animesh, a prominent gaming creator known as “Thug,” and Mithilesh, also recognized as “MythPat,” shared insights from the meeting on their social media platforms where five other influential gaming creators were present as well, with more details revealed to come out soon.

Seven Indian gaming creators were part of the Game On event

As mentioned earlier, seven prominent figures in the Indian gaming scene were part of the “Game On” meet and talk with Prime Minister Modi. They were Anshu “GamerFleet” Bisht, Animesh “Thug” Agarwal, Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar, Mithilesh “MythPat” Patankar, Naman “Mortal” Mathur, Payal “Payal” Dhare, and Tirth Mehta.

If you are closely used to following PUBG Mobile or the localized Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), then you might be familiar with MortaL, Payal Gaming, and 8Bit Thug. These three personalities have garnered significant popularity for their content within one of the most beloved mobile battle royale games.

Speaking about the rest of the attendees, MythPat is one of the highest-subbed Indian creators, SkRossi is known for his Valorant gameplay. GamerFleet is another prominent name in the gaming community. Tirth Mehta made headlines for winning the Bronze medal in Activision Blizzard’s popular card title Hearthstone at the 2018 Asian Games.

The meet marks a significant milestone for the Indian gaming industry

The full video of the discussion is eagerly anticipated. Still, the Instagram post has mentioned that the Prime Minister has articulated a vision to revolutionize India’s gaming landscape. The creators also expressed their delight at meeting PM, while PM Modi also tried his hand at a few of the games, as shown in the teaser.

Payal on her official Instagram added that she was the “only female gamer at the table”, while thanking the PM for recognizing their voices and paving the way for inclusivity in this industry.

In my opinion, this signifies a highly remarkable milestone for the Indian gaming community. Such an announcement, and especially that made by a leader of the country like the Prime Minister, is a huge thing, showing us a way towards revolutionary changes in the gaming industry.

Furthermore, I’ve observed a lot of intellectual discussions, such as PM Modi talking with creators on gaming, its distinctions, and opportunities, particularly for girls, to take part in this field. Overall, these are very positive signs for gaming in India.
