PUBG Mobile, one of the most popular mobile video games in the world, has announced a collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Sony Pictures Television, and Prime Video to deliver players unique content from the Emmy-nominated subversive superhero series The Boys.
“The Boys is a groundbreaking TV series that has forever changed the entertainment industry with its irreverent take on superheroes,” said Anthony Crouts, Senior Director of Marketing for PUBG Mobile. “We always strive to deliver fresh new content to our players and this collaboration gives us the amazing opportunity to integrate real-time elements of The Boys’ new season directly into PUBG Mobile.”
Players will be able to get a number of exclusive cooperation goods in conjunction with The Boys season 3 launch on Prime Video on June 3rd, including the iconic super suits of Homelander, Starlight, and Soldier Boy, as well as weapon skins, backpacks, a unique Supes parachute, and more.
Play a series of weekly challenges and earn epic rewards
Then, starting June 8th, gamers will be able to take part in a “Supe Spree” event, in which they can team up with The Boys’ infamous antihero, Billy Butcher, to form their own investigation squad and look for proof of superhuman wrongdoings. In the game, New York City is suddenly gripped by a terrifying series of unexplained killings.
Across the city, the disfigured bodies of Wall Street brokers and their clients start to appear. The cops have no idea what’s going on, and municipal authorities are seeking answers. Players must cooperate with characters from The Boys or their in-game pals to uncover the truth in order to complete each task.
To acquire Billy Butcher’s Duds, players will gather evidence, unlock storylines, and eventually expose the superhero behind these horrible attacks. The integration will also feature a series of weekly challenges, offering players with extra possibilities to earn additional perks and rewards for a limited-time.
