“Beat Drop,” a play on words, conjures up images of the adrenaline-pumping conclusion of an EDM song combined with one of the game’s most dramatic moments, the traditional “Airdrop” game feature.

The announcement follows the historic, first-ever, and award-winning K-pop concert that took place in-game for PUBG Mobile. The game has explored a variety of genres, collaborating with well-known DJs from across the world and trending online personalities to creating its original music with POWER 4, PUBG Mobile’s virtual band.
All of this has expanded the range of musical genres that PUBG Mobile can create in the future for its very own “Beat Drop” PUBG Mobile music label. “Considering the game’s strong history in musical relationships, establishing a label is a natural move for PUBG Mobile,” said Vincent Wang, Head of PUBG Mobile Publishing at Tencent Games.
