PUBG Mobile to associate with Godzilla vs Kong movie on their 3rd Anniversary

Tencent Games hosted a grand celebration party on the account of PUBG Mobile’s 3rd Anniversary on March 21st, 2021. During the party, PUBG Mobile announced that “Two 100 meter tall mysterious visitors” are coming into the game. Yes, you guessed it right! These two visitors are Godzilla and Kong. PUBG Mobile is set to associate with the Godzilla vs Kong movie with an exclusive in-game mode, where players will combat against both Godzilla and Kong.

PUBG Mobile has hit 1 billion downloads worldwide!

PUBG Mobile has recently surpassed one billion downloads worldwide, another announcement Tencent made during the game’s third-anniversary celebrations. PUBG Mobile was released globally in March 2018. It was the fourth-most-downloaded game with more than 232 million downloads in 2020. PUBG Mobile was also the highest revenue generator last year, earning more than 2.6 billion USD. 3 years later, the game has crossed the one billion downloads mark in Playstore and iOS store.

Live performances from the Party!

The party featured live performances by international DJs Lost Frequencies, Alesso, and R3HAB where each one of them revealed their songs which will soon be released into the game. The three singles, along with K-pop group BLACKPINK’s remix version of “DDU-DU DDU-DU” will be also released into the game. These can be heard through the PUBG Mobile Music feature, which was added with patch 1.3 earlier this month.

Moreover, Tencent Games also announced the release of the Karakin map on April 7th, 2021. The Karakin map is now available only in the Beta version of the game. The sixth classic map would soon replace the Vikendi map in-game.

Godzilla vs Kong: When will the new game mode release in PUBG Mobile?

The details about this new mode are unknown for now, though the trailer was aired during the anniversary party. Players might get to know more information about this partnership with the official release of the film. While the movie releases globally on 24th March 2021, the new game mode ‘Godzilla vs Kong’ has been said to be released on 31st March 2021.
