PUBG Mobile’s best themed Mode yet?

Story Highlights
  • Primewood Genesis themed mode reshapes the battlefield with enjoyable content.
  • New abilities and items like Targeting Vines, Bramblewood Scorpion vehicle, the Prime Eye, and Florawings brings new tactical depth to every fight and rotation.
  • Here, you'll find useful tips to dominate the new themed mode!

PUBG Mobile‘s Version 4.2 Update brings with it the Primewood Genesis themed mode, alongside Classic mode updates, new Metro Royale season, and more. Among everything, this themed mode easily stands out thanks to its nature-driven twist, fun gameplay elements, and new tactical depths it introduces.

Primewood’s awakening makes the battleground we love feel alive again with all the changes

I did take a big break from PUBG Mobile, and I guess I’m returning again now that the Primewood Genesis themed-mode is live. Thanks to this, the battleground looks alive and fun again as the Primewood’s awakening has reshaped our beloved maps with mystical flora, danger, and opportunities.

Corrupted Flora has spread across Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok via the Arborum Sanctuary. And I’m really liking these changes as it’s not just for visuals. Like, we can destroy the Infected Flora to unlock vine-wrapped crates and the Corrupting Flowers in the Corrupting Swamp area to purify the Primewood.

Plus, I got another reason to dive in Erangel along with Livik, as we get to team up with the loyal treant guardian Barkle, who fights, protects, and even rescue our allies. But, it’ll be surely challenging to get the contested Fruits as it rewards us with supplies or summon Barkle. I hope it’s not as intense as prime Pochinki days.

New stuffs like Targeting Vines, Bramlewood Scorpion vehicle, Prime Eye, and more just changes how we engage

There just so many elements to be excited for. Like the items, Targeting Vines which can restrain enemies or vehicles with controllable vines and the Bramblewood Scorpion vehicle, which will be fun to drive as we can burrow underground and get attack immunity. Or you can just launch Spike Bombs and call it a day.

We also get this Prime Eye in the Primewood Heart, and enjoy birds-eye view, and it’s better than Assassins Creed one, as we can use skills to teleport, heal, and create barriers. Honestly, I’m already sold, and anything else like the Florawings are just cool additions to the fun. I forgot when I was the last time I was this excited about PUBG Mobile.

So, considering I’m quite happy with this themed mode, I’m sharing these few tips that I think will be helpful to you:

  • If you want that Pochinki-like hot drop feel, try to drop at the Arborum Sanctuary and just take the risk as it will pay off if you survive the heat.
  • Try to use Targeting Vines as a defense rather than offense, as the barrier is quite helpful to buy yourself precious time to either reposition, heal yourself, or just reload.
  • Use the Bramblewood Scorpion vehicle for rotations and surprise attacks.
  • Focus on getting your hands on the Prime Eye, as I feel this is a game-changing element due to its vision and skills.
  • If you don’t get the new vehicle, at least go for the Florawings, as it will help you during teamfights. You can literally blind enemies and dash to reposition and take them out.
