The renowned Masters of the Universe (MOTU) will now be available on Rec Room, the top platform for virtual worlds, games, and user-generated content, thanks to a collaboration announced by Mattel, Inc. and Rec Room.
Players of Rec Room on all platforms can visit the Rec Center starting on December 13 and stay there through January 15 to find a photo booth and the MOTU pop-up shop, where they can dress up as their favorite He-Man, Skeletor, or Teela characters and test their own power by donning a Power Sword.
Avatar customizations of He-Man, Skeletor, and Teela are now available in Rec Room
For a short time, the pop-up store in the Rec Center and the Rec Room shop through March 31, 2023, will sell complete avatar costumes for He-Man, Skeletor, and Teela. He-hair, Man’s clothes, and wristbands are just a few examples of the three distinct components that make up each costume. Players may also buy a Power Sword for their avatar separately.
Then, with Castle Grayskull looming in the background, players can pose for pictures with Teela, He-Man, and Skeletor using their new avatar accessories. If you choose the correct outfit combination, the three will use the Rec Room catalyst event system to encourage you or make mean comments.
The Masters of the Universe event will be available across all Rec Room platforms from December 13 to January 15. These limited-time MOTU items make a great holiday gift for He-Man fans everywhere, and can be given through Rec Room Gift Cards, available now on rec.net and at select retailers.
