Gamefam has announced that two of the popular characters SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be coming to Roblox later this year. In the collaboration announced, it is official that the popular platform will see SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pretty soon. More details are yet to be revealed.
A new immersive experience is coming soon to Roblox
Gamefam, the first developer to use the Roblox platform to create games, has been vocal about expanding partnerships with larger brands. It would aid in the development of a larger brand image and develop new forms of immersive entertainment. So, without a doubt, their recent announcement will boost their brand.
Both of the games coming to Roblox will be standalone experiences later this year. Speaking on the collab, Ricardo Briceno, Chief Business Officer at Gamefam said: “We are honored to partner with Paramount to bring these iconic properties to new audiences in metaverse gaming. Globally beloved fan-favourite properties like SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are the exact types of brands Roblox audiences engage with on a massive scale. Gamefam is uniquely positioned to make them successful on the platform.”
Doug Rosen, Paramount’s senior vice president of games and emerging media, stated: “We are creating immersive new experiences on Roblox to let the millions of SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans inside these worlds play and explore alongside the iconic characters they know and love.”
He also stated that expanding both franchises to new platforms is an important part of their gaming strategy and along with Gamefam’s expertise in the management of large-scale live-operated worlds makes them an ideal partner to connect audiences.
As of now, Gamefam hasn’t revealed much about the game’s content, how is it going to be or what to expect entirely, but both are set to launch on Roblox later in 2023. But it is definitely going to be a huge addition to the fans of the brands.
