Supercell to shut down Hay Day Pop on February 1, 2021

The game will receive one last update before shut down

Supercell is well known for producing premium mobile games but at the same time, it is also popular for murdering the projects that failed to satisfy their objectives. Hay Day Pop, a Puzzle game for mobile is coming to an end on February 1, 2021, with it being shut down permanently. The Official Twitter account of Supercell confirmed the news a few hours ago. However, the servers will be kept open and the game will remain playable until the end of January 2021, as highlighted in their official article. Supercell thanked the Hay Day players for playing the game and helping them improve it.

Hay Day Pop to push a Final Update before shut down

Supercell admitted that despite pushing continuous updates and making changes for Hay Day Pop, it failed to meet the standards they have set for them as well for the players.

They have released a Final Update of Hay Day for the usual players and also mentioned that players can enjoy the game until they turn off the servers on Feb 1st, 2021.

The Supercell’s Graveyard

Hay Day Pop Shut Down

This image depicts some of the popular games, which were killed by Supercell long ago. Supercell once announced on a forum that any other mobile game development company would have fully launched the game & let the market decide. But Supercell has only about 150 employees, and it is ruthless about killing games that aren’t living up to expectations. It’s quite true that not every game can measure the standards of Clash of Clans or Clash of Royals. Moreover, Hay Day Pop will be going to face a global shut down next year and will be joining the Supercell’s Graveyard ultimately.
