Supercell will take legal action against the organizers of Latin America Master League (LAML) 2021

Players have been complaining about the organizers for a long time.

Supercell organized the Brawl Stars Master League 2021 in South America through third-party organizer Latin America Master League (LAML). The tournament had a prize pool of $100,000, with America De Cali Esports being crowned the champions. Although the tournament finished on 29th December last year, the teams did not get any prize from the organizers till now.

After the tournament, the organizers allegedly went cold on social media and their website. Their website has received no update after November, and their social media handles are also inactive.

Supercell recently posted its statement regarding the incident on Twitter. In the post, Supercell wrote.“We are aware that a number of players from the Latin America Master League (LAML) 2021 have not yet received their prizes from the tournament organizers. This is unacceptable.” The developer also added, “We share our players’ frustrations in this matter and we will provide full compensation to all players affected ourselves as soon as possible. Supercell will also no longer authorize LAML to organize tournaments using Supercell games.” According to the statement, they will be taking legal actions against the organizers for failing to honor the contractual commitments.

Community members appreciate the move by Supercell against LAML 2021 organizers

There has been no statement or response from the side of LAML yet. But they can no longer host tournaments for any game.  The statement by Supercell has picked a lot of praise from the community as it was a much-spoken incident in the community for a long time. The teams have been waiting to receive their prize money for almost seven months. The statement finally brings good news for the team, as they will eventually receive their deserving prize.

It is not the first time that the community has seen third-party organizers disappearing with the players’ money. The lack of laws and regulations regarding these things often creates loopholes for dishonest tournament organizers.
