Global interactive entertainment developer and publisher miHoYo, the studio behind famous releases such as Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd announced that its prime Romance Detective Game- Tears of Themis for both Android and iOS. Tears of Themis is scheduled for a closed beta test in the summer and thus is now inviting players to solve cases and establish justice through an exhilarating romantic journey in the fictitious city of Stellis.
Tears of Themis is one of a kind Otome game that had released back earlier in China last year. Otome Games as we know, are usually story-driven experiences with a romance theme that targets the female audience. After its success in China, miHoYo is planning for a global release of the game soon.
Gameplay Overview
The game features a stunning visual art style and an intriguing story. Tears of Themis highlights its’ adventure with romance and wits. The player takes on the role of the female lawyer, who persists on with truth and moral justice when breaking down cases brought to her through Themis Law firm and other encounters. Through questioning witnesses and suspects, conducting investigations on locations, and examining pieces of evidence, the player heads to court for legal battles and brings justice and peace back to the city.
The player’s legal journey is accompanied by four main male characters including Luke Pearce, Marius von Hagen, Vyn Richter, and Arten Wing, who all have their own respective identity, personality, skills, and background. When conducting investigations and solving puzzles with support and assistance from the four characters, the player cultivates relationships and grows with these characters through all kinds of missions. The goal is not only to unveil the secrets of Stellis city but also to learn about their stories and build special connections with the one the player prefers to lean on.
When will Tears of Themis globally release
Tears of Themis has opened its initial Closed Beta Test registration on its’ official website from April 19th to May 6th, 2021. The official Closed Beta will begin on May 8th. The developers are yet to announce an official global release date yet. Meanwhile, you can head over to the official website to sign up for the beta test.
The game will be available for 20,000 random players who have successfully pre-registered through the Google Play or App Stores in any of the closed beta test regions before the test begins on May 7. Additionally, keep checking this space as we will update any information on the game’s official release.
