Tencent’s post-apocalyptic, co-op zombie-survival title, Undawn has passed the local rating classification and is set to be released very soon in Korea. The game has reportedly been rated in Korea and can hit the market very soon, reported Inven. Tencent originally planned for the game to be released on a global stage in 2021, but due to some rating issues was not able to release it last year.
Proxima Beta, a Tencent Singapore corporation handles the releases that Tencent makes outside of China. Tencent applies for the local rating classification through Proxima Beta in different countries. In Korea too, Proxima Beta helped Tencent in securing the local rating classification.
In 2021 after the first local rating classification test, Undawn was rated unavailable for the youth. Hence the arrival and release of Tencent Undawn were halted and eventually postponed. But now with all things sorted the game can be expected to hit the global stage in early 2023.
Undawn is from the same developers as PUBG
Tencent’s new open-world post-apocalyptic title Undawn is from the same developers as that of PUBG Mobile. The team which was responsible for PUBG Mobile’s success will be trying to emulate the same success with Undawn.
Undawn gives the player a journey into an open-world scenario where supplies and emotions play a huge part in your survival. The primary goal is to fend off zombies and survive just another day.
Tencent’s Undawn is expected to be released in early 2023 on a global stage. The game is an MMORPG, where players will have to interact and come together to not only survive but thrive. This gives the game an interactive and social outlook too. Building communities and engaging in trades with other players will be the only way to survive in Tencent Undawn. Undawn also supports cross-platform play.
