The North America Challenger Tournament (NACT) Fall 2023 closed its run earlier today and a new champion emerged, TheOhioBrothers. After defeating the other finalist Avalon by 4-0, TheOhioBrothers claimed the crown of the champion. The team also qualifies for the upcoming grand event of Mobile Legends Bang Bang, the M5 World Championship 2023.
Champion TheOhioBrothers bagged a large share of the prize pool as well, that is $11,000. Before the grand final took place, the esports event started on the 5th of August 2023 with 8 participant teams.
North America Challenger Tournament (NACT) Fall 2023: The champion team’s run on the event
NACT Fall 2023 champion, TheOhioBrothers, was qualified through the previous installment, NACT Spring 2023. In the playoffs stage, the team first met Area 77 in the upper-bracket semifinal where TheOhioBrothers scored 2-0 to win the match. Advancing to the next match, the Spring season’s champion BloodThirstyKings stood against them. But, they failed to defend the unstoppable champion and lost the game by 0-2.
On the other hand, Avalon started the event by getting defeated by BloodThirstyKings. Then the team had to go through lower bracket matches. However, crawling their way to the final, they met TheOhioBrothers. A clean sweep of four games to none against the runner-up Avalon made TheOhioBrothers the champion of NACT Fall 2023.
The champions took the lion’s share of the Prize Pool home
The event featured a total of $25,600 as the prize pool. For winning each match in the regular season, $100 went to each winner’s pocket. The MVP award went to bestplayer1 from TheOhioBrothers. However, $10,000 was allocated to the champions while the runner-up bagged $5,000. After the end of the event, the final prize distribution looked as follows.
