Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains, a strategic card game based on the popular manga opens pre-registration in select regions

Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains is an upcoming strategy card game with RPG elements based on the popular manga series that is now open for pre-registration for Android and iOS in select regions. Just like in the manga, the story revolves around Kaneki, a college student who becomes a half-ghoul after a chance encounter with one of these flesh-eating creatures.

Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains will follow Ken Kaneki, a student, who frequents the Anteiku cafe and forms a connection with a woman. They share similar life experiences and a love for reading. After a fateful accident during a bookstore date with Rize Kamishiro (in the manga), Kaneki undergoes a life-altering transplant with ghoul organs.

In the game, players can experience thrilling strategic battles using card combos that come with immersive 3D animations. Form a team with 30+ characters from the original series, building unique bonds with each teammate. You can also enjoy various gameplay modes, including a storyline mode, solo maze exploration, cooperative challenges with other players, and player-versus-player battles.

Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains is now open for pre-registration in select regions in the SEA countries Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos, and Singapore. You can pre-register via Google Play Store and App Store for Android and iOS respectively else with via email or phone number through the game’s website.

Although not confirmed, players from Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, and Macau can also check for access via store pages since the makers have listed pre-registration campaigns for players in these regions.

The global release date hasn’t been announced by the makers, so we will have to wait for the official announcement from their end. We shall update this space as soon as we get the necessary info about the global launch.
