Tower of Fantasy team gets caught using Honkai Impact 3rd asset in the newly released PV

Tower of fantasy team immediately apologized and removed the stolen asset

After their recent release of their PV, the fanbase of open-world RPG Tower of Fantasy immediately recognized an item that is identical to another item in Honkai Impact 3rd. This led the fanbase to get angry and flood Tower of Fantasy’s social media pages. After being caught using stolen assets, the team behind Tower of Fantasy issued an apology confessing and promising the removal of the asset from Honkai Impact 3rd in their latest PV.

The stolen asset is a sword that is a spitting image of the 3rd Sacred Relic sword in Honkai Impact 3rd. This sword was seen in the newest PV for the Tower of Fantasy which was mounted on the back of the character Meryl as well as on various soldiers’ hands.

The team behind Tower of Fantasy posted an apology on Weibo specifying that they will be updating the PV to replace the stolen assets accordingly. According to the team, this accidental slip-up happened because the assets were outsourced and not developed by their team internally and the lack of checks before release caused them to directly publish those assets.

The official apology read, “Due to our negligence, we failed to discover the problem of misuse of material in time, and as of now, the existing material in question has been arranged to be revised and updated. In this regard, we have conducted a profound review and apologize to all the topographers affected by this matter.”

“After verification, the reason for this problem is that the PV outsourcing process, the supplier used some material that is not in the game, and we did not find it in time during the review, so the misused material video was released normally”
