If you were looking to play the full-fledged third-person shooter title The Division Resurgence and CQB title Rainbow Six Mobile on your mobile devices this year, then I have some bad news to share. Ubisoft has confirmed that both the release of Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence have been postponed indefinitely.
For the France-based video games giant, this can be considered a disappointment. Both the games were aiming for a release this year and Ubisoft even mentioned eyeing a bigger picture in FY25 after a successful previous year. However, it has been confirmed that this will no longer be the case.
Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence release delay might hit FY25 earnings for Ubisoft
In their announcement of the first quarter of 2024-25 results, the reason given is that the teams are taking the necessary time to ensure these experiences meet expectations, delivering optimized KPIs in the context of a demanding yet expansive market.
You might be wondering when the game will be released. Since we are talking about the Fiscal Year (FY), the term refers to the period from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. Therefore, Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence will not be released during this timeframe. Instead, we can expect them to be released sometime after April 1, 2025.
The two games were not the only ones to be postponed to the next year. Tencent Games also shifted focus on Party Stars earlier this year, moving Assassin’s Creed Jade to 2025 as well. Even though this is Ubisoft’s game, the publishing duties for the open-world mobile RPG are handled by Level Infinite.
However, if you are not exclusively on mobile, you will get your experiences with other Ubisoft games to enjoy. The company has confirmed the lineup for the remainder of FY25 to be featuring Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws.
The release dates, as of now, are in the year. We don’t even know if Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence will get launched in the next fiscal year, so this postponed news is surely sad news for the ones awaiting the release.
