I Got Games, abbreviated and properly known as IGG is now venturing into the mobile gaming market with its newest upcoming game, Viking Rise. IGG is best known for developing the popular medieval strategy game called Lords Mobile, which is also one of the highest-grossing games on both Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
Gameplay Overview
Viking Rise is yet another strategy game developed by IGG, who have already got acclaimed as a strategy game designer and developer for the mobile platform. In the game, the player will take on the role of a Viking leader of a Viking tribe in a historical Nordic setting. The game is in multiplayer mode and will follow the standard format of having a force of one’s own which one can pitch in battles against the forces of other players.
Players will be armed with the objective of building up the strongest tribe as the leader of the Vikings, supposed to lead. One will also be able to form alliances with other players from all over the world to complete co-op missions and make certain objectives easier to complete. Players will also be able to earn resources and get new materials by participating in raids, wars, and hunts.
Take full control over your territory as the Viking Lord
The most prominent feature of Viking Rise is perhaps the availability of a multiplayer mode, as a game is single-player, or multiplayer can affect multiple factors. Players will also get complete control over the kind of territory they will control. They will be able to design their territory to be a business center, a center of resources, a military settlement, etc. as per their choice.
A unique feature that comes as a part of Viking Rise is the inclusion of naval combat. By partaking in naval combat, one will be able to catch enemies by surprise and therefore increase chances of successfully carrying out a raid or an attack. One could also use the ship to arrange for a retreat if the attack does not go on its way. The game will also have several mythic beasts such as dragons, which the players will be able to tame and gain a boost on the battlefield in turn.
How to sign up for the Viking Rise open beta test
According to the announcements made in the official Discord server of Viking Rise, the planned open beta test is available in selected regions and as more time passes, more countries will be added to the list to be part of the upcoming beta tests. Viking Rise is now available for download on Google Play, as part of an ongoing beta test.
An iOS version is also underway although no date has been specified as of yet. The devs are yet to specify any date or month for the official launch of the game, but it should be sometime in the early months of 2023, given the current testing phase of the game.
