An interesting chart shared by GenshinLab, known for publishing Genshin Impact stats and fun facts, revealed the January 2023 revenue chart for the characters in the game for iOS players in the China market. Such details are frequently updated by the website as more information is received, and shared via animated charts. As of January 2023, Ayaka leads the list of the revenue earned for an individual character while Shougun & Ayato combined have been the highest revenue earner.
Six characters in Genshin Impact have raked over $30 Million
Starting from 25th September 2020 with the release of Venti and to date, Genshin Impact has accumulated over $750 Million in iOS revenue via Characters alone in the China Market. This is a mammoth earning, out of which six characters have collected over $30 Million.
Shougun & Ayato, Ayaka, and Nahida & Yoimiya are the top three among the list of characters with large revenue. When we consider individual characters for the revenue list, Ayaka’s rerun still maintains the top spot during its first rerun back in May 2022. This includes reruns where previously introduced characters are made available again.
GenshinLab also shared some interesting bits on the chart characteristics. Nahida & Yoimiya, on their 2nd Rerun, got the highest peak sales in one day, which also broke the then-all-time banner sales record back in November 2022. Venti does not have the highest peak sales but in general, the sales are more average every day during the banner time.
Final Thoughts
This chart is only for the iOS players in the China Market, but looking at the numbers, it won’t be farfetched to tell it would be a massive number if we consider the global scale too.
With a large player base and growing fanbase, Genshin Impact is undoubtedly one of the most popular games available, and we can only predict that these numbers are going to be even larger in the coming years.
