The PUBG Mobile Pro League for the region of Brazil, namely the PUBG Mobile Pro League Brazil Spring 2023 or the PMPL Brazil Spring 2023 held by Tencent concluded recently and yielded Alpha7 Esports as the champion of the tournament.
Hailed as the favorites to win the tournament, Alpha7 stayed true to their hype and conquered Brazil, and not for the first time either.
PMPL Brazil Spring 2023: Overview
Although Alpha7 were the outright favorites of the tournament, the other big teams of the region such as PMPL Americas Championship Fall 2022 winner Influence Chemin and iNCO performed as was expected from them as well, as they clinched the other two spots in the top three and completed the podium.
The only outlier was Loops Esports, who did not finish on the podium but still managed to claw their way into the top five. The points tally of those teams fighting for the top spots was close, and therefore the conclusive results favored those teams which were even a slight bit more consistent, as every point mattered in the race to the top.
As for disappointments, the failure of Rise Esports to even make it into the top ten was surprising as they are often regarded as a top five-worthy team in Brazil. But this just goes on to show the overall competitive and unpredictable nature of the tournament.
Prize pool
The PMPL Brazil Spring 2023 featured a pretty decent prize pool of $150,000 that was divided amongst the teams participating in the Finals. The winners Alpha7 bagged $14,000 while second and third-placed Influence Chemin and iNCO took home $10,000 and $9000 respectively. The MVP Alpha7 Revo earned $1000.
Conclusion
The top 4 of the PMPL Brazil Spring 2023 will be playing in the Americas Championship where all other top teams from every American region will compete against each other to determine a winner. The summer edition of the PMPL BR will take place later this year as well.
