The third edition of one of India’s biggest BGMI events is here. Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2024 will begin on the 20th of August with the League Stage. With a massive prize pool and featuring the best teams in India, the event will mark a new record in the BGMI esports scene.
The event slogan is “Path To Glory“, which portrays the true theme indeed. Organized by KRAFTON and Tesseract Esports, the offline final will take place in Kochi, India.
BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2024: Schedule and Format
There will be three main stages. The first step for the teams will be the League Stage. It’s divided into three rounds. The League Stage will begin on the 20th of August and run till the 14th of September. A total of 128 teams will join the stage while only 24 will advance to the Semifinals.
League Stage
In the first round, there will be 16 matchdays for the 128 participants. Two groups will be created and each group is divided into 4 sub-groups of 16 teams each. Each group will play 6 matches per week and groups will be reshuffled after the first week. The top 64 will advance to the next stage.
The second round will start on the 7th of September. Within 4 matchdays, teams will be divided into 4 groups of 16 teams each. There will be 6 matches allocated to each team. After the end of the round on the 10th of September, the top 48 teams from the overall standings qualify for the next round.
Round 3 will kick off on the 11th of September. This round will consist of 4 matchdays. Teams are divided into 3 groups of 16 teams each and each team will play 8 matches. The top 24 will advance to the next round.
Semi-Finals
On the 15th of September, the semifinals will start. Within 4 matchdays, three groups will fight in a double round-robin format. Each team will play a total of 16 matches, and the top 16 will qualify for the Grand Finals.
Grand Finals
From the 27th of September 2024, the Grand Finals will open its veil to welcome the finalist teams. 16 teams will play 18 matches within 3 days. After the end of BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2024 on the 29th of September, the crowned champion will leave Kochi with a magnificent trophy in their hands.
Participating Teams
As said earlier, 128 invited teams will start the journey while the Grand Finals will feature only 16. We’ll list the teams when they’re qualified for the Semifinals.
BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2024: Prize Pool
A huge amount of ₹20,000,000 will be awarded to the teams. According to the overall standings after all the matches, the top team will be crowned as the champion. Prize allocation is yet to be announced.
Team SouL won the first edition in 2022 while Blind Esports became the winner in 2023. As the competition grew a lot and new players, strategies, etc. were being implemented, this 2024 season will be exciting to watch. We can name the champion after the final battle in the tournament everyone is eagerly waiting for. All the matches of this event will be streamed live on the official YouTube channel of KRAFTON INDIA ESPORTS.
