After two days of exciting battles across the battlegrounds of PUBG Mobile, the PUBG Mobile Rivals Cup: Korea vs Japan 2021 has come to an end, with Japanese team BC SWELL, also known as Burning Core SWELL, emerging as the winner of the event. The team has also qualified for the upcoming global event PMGC 2021.
PUBG Mobile Rivals Cup: Korea vs Japan is a tournament that serves as the last chance qualifier to the Global Championship for Korean and Japanese teams. The winners for PMPL Americas Season 2, PMPL European Championship Season 1, and PMPL MENA and SA Championship Season 1 were also announced yesterday, all of them qualifying for PMGC 2021.
PUBG Mobile Rivals Cup Korea vs Japan 2021: BC SWELL’s road to victory
The event featured 16 teams from South Korea and Japan. A total of 10 matches were played across the maps of PUBG Mobile. BC started the tournament being third with 8 kills where the match went to ASA KOREA’s pocket. With some average performance, the champion team picked up decent kills and chicken dinner in the sixth match. Runner-up Red Pepper took 71 position points, making a total of 109 overall points.
The top four teams had the chance to come in the first place to qualify for the PMGC. BC SWELL couldn’t do well and got eliminated in the early game. But other teams failed to capitalize and thus, missed first place. After that, BC SWELL went on to become the champion by a margin of 1 point.
PMGC qualified teams Korea/Japan region
BC Swell qualified for the PMGC 2021 by being the champion of the Rivals Cup. Other than the team, two more teams, namely Warriors Esports and REJECT, qualified through PUBG Mobile Pro Series Season 2 Korea and Japan League Season 1 respectively.
After forming the current roster last January, the team has met quite some successes. BC SWELL came as the champion of the PUBG Mobile Japan League Season 1 Phase 2. Showing a great performance, the team is now ready for their next challenge.
