Farlight 84 hosted its Philippines Summit 2023 on the 24th of August 2023. Alongside the long-term roadmap of the game, they also announced its esports roadmap for the country. As part of this roadmap, Farlight 84 has announced its first championship season for the Philippines. Scheduled to start on the 2nd of September, the Farlight 84 Philippines Championship Season 1 will feature a $25,000 prize pool for the participants. The event will be both for PC and Mobile devices. The prize pool for the PC event is $12,500.
Farlight 84 Philippines Championship Season 1: Schedule and Format Explained
The game will broadcast Farlight 84 Philippines Championship Season 1 on several social media channels. On the 2nd of September, the semifinals for the week 1 will take place. And, the next day, it will broadcast the week 1 final. Players need to be at least on level 10 to participate in the event.
Open Qualifier
There will be four weeks of league matches. Daily matches in a week will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. These will be the online qualifiers that are open to all. The top 60 teams will meet in the weekly finals divided into four groups. The top 15 will head to the finals on Sunday of each week.
Knockout Stage
The knockout stage will start from week 5 with the top 15 teams from each week. The teams will be split into four groups and play four matches in two weeks (3 rounds per match). Based on the points they gathered, the top 30 will make it to the finals.
Season Finals
The offline grand finals will held on the 21st-22nd of October. Divided into two groups of 15 teams each, the participants will play 3 matches each. The top 7 teams from Group A will play against the bottom 8 teams from Group B and vice versa to secure a spot in the grand finals. On the 22nd of October, the grand finals will take place, consisting of a five-round match.
Event Guide: How to participate in the Farlight 84 Philippines Championship Season 1
The game has shared a few steps to participate in the event. They are as follows.
- Players need to download the game on their devices.
- The player level must cross 10 to participate in the online qualifier.
- Players need to create a clan or join one to register for the tournament.
- From the Tournament section, find “FPC-OPENS WI” and click “Register”. Then, fill in the information that the game wants. Then, click on the “Register” icon and a successful registration message will pop up, ensuring you of a successful registration.
How to attend the matches
After the registration is successful, the FPC-OPENS WI will be displayed in the Tournament List. And when the tournament starts, click on the Room button and find the corresponding tournament. Now, click on Fight to play the in-game online qualifier.
Prize Pool
The whole event will end in a year finale event at the end of the season. Scheduled to conclude in mid-2024, there will be a total of three regular seasons that will conclude in a fourth event, the Grand Finals. The combined prize pool for mobile and PC is set at $150,000. Each mobile esports event will feature the same prize money which is $25,000 while the PC-based events will feature $12,500 in each competition. This event is the debut season of the championship.
