GodLike Esports have emerged as the winners of the first season of COD Mobile India Pova Cup. The team dominated the competition and didn’t drop a single game, reiterating their position as the top COD Mobile team in the nation. The premier esports competition promoter, Skyesports, is in charge of planning the COD Mobile India POVA Cup, which is sponsored by Tecno Pova.
COD Mobile India POVA Cup: GodLike Esports’ road to glory
The top eight CoD Mobile teams from across the nation competed in the competition for top honors. The top four teams progressed to the Playoffs, which were held from March 10 to 12, following an exciting group stage that ended earlier this month.
GodLike Esports won all seven of their games during the group stage, starting a winning run. They defeated 5 and a Half Men in the championships thanks to their dominance in the Playoffs. As the squad was able to win two series in the best-of-seven, 5 and a Half Men quickly resisted the intense series. 5 and a Half Men will still be able to hold their heads aloft as the runners-up after GodLike Esports pushed them back to win the series 4-2.
The CoD Mobile team has dominated the Indian scene for the past few years. GodLike Esports’ Neutrino remarked on this dominance in a post-match interview, saying, “Our haters give us the motivation to win. On a more serious note, our IGL has a huge role to play in our domination. Our IGL’s mindset is always clear, that we want to win every match and also dominate. When the leader’s mindset is that clear, it’s a motivation for the whole team to perform.”
Jash “Learn” Shah, who was also a finalist for the prestigious Esports Awards’ ‘Mobile Player of the Year’ award last year, is the captain of GodLike Esports’ CODM team. Vegaz, Neutrino, Broszxz, Trunks, and Burnz are the other team players.
