Mobile Legends M3 World Championship to be held in December

“Race to the top” to become the MLBB world champion

Moonton Games, developer of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, announced the third edition of its world championship. The Mobile Legends M3 World Championship will take place in December this year. The announcement came from MLBB’s official Twitter account on 8 August where they talked about the roadmap of MLBB in 2021 and their achievements this year. Though they didn’t disclose any information regarding the format of the highly-anticipated esports tournament, venue, and schedule, they confirmed that the M3 championship will be a Lan event, just like the previous one.

Moonton is successful in achieving its 2021 goals

The roadmap video that includes the M3 announcement said that M2 becomes the most-watched official MLBB tournament with over 3 million concurrent views. Recently, another major tournament concluded- the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup or MSC 2021.

So, MLBB M3 is going to be the third major tournament of this year. The best 16 teams from MPL regions, alongside winners of the non-MPL region qualifiers will be competing for the glory.

“There’s a lot more Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports action coming into the second half of 2021. With the MPL series gearing up for the Regular Season, preparations are well underway for our flagship international tournament. M3 will be held offline in December, bringing together the best MLBB teams worldwide to compete for the top title,”.

The regional MLBB professional leagues are also showing a lot of potentialities with breaking the view records. The MPL family is expanding rapidly as they introduced MPL Brazil in June and MPL Cambodia in July. The last MLBB M2 world championship took place in January this year. 12 teams across the globe gathered in Singapore to fight for becoming the world champion. Players have gone through strict quarantine protocol amidst the tournament. As the pandemic situation is still not under control, players might face the same protocol again. M2 featured a $300,000 prize pool where Bren Esports emerged as the champion.
