Wild Rift League (WRL) Asia Season 2: Teams, Format, Prize Pool, and More

Watch the mighty Asian teams in intense MOBA action!

The Wild Rift League Asia (WRL) Season 2 is near the corner. Organized by Riot Games, the regional league for Wild Rift Esports in Asia will kick off its Season 2 on the 1st of November 2023. Divided into two conference leagues, the battle will run till the end of January 2024. A huge prize pool along with the glory is waiting for the teams.

WRL Asia Season 2: Schedule and Format

WRL Asia Season 2 will have three stages in its run. The event will start sailing with the regular season on the 1st of November 2023. It will run till the 24th of December. Divided into two conference leagues, a total of 20 teams will battle it out in a single-round robin format where all the matches will be played in a BO3 format. The top 8 from the CN Conference and the top 4 from the APAC Conference will be qualified for the Playoffs.

Playoffs will start in January 2024. No date has been announced so far. The bracket will be double-elimination within each conference. All the matches will follow a BO7 format and the top 2 from each conference will advance to the finals. As the CN conference has 8 teams, the top 4 will start in the upper bracket while the rest 8 will start from the lower bracket. On the other hand, the qualified teams from the APAC conference will start from the upper bracket.

The Grand Finals will also take place in January 2024. It is divided into two phases; the Round Robin Stage and the Knockout Stage. In the first stage, matches will be BO1, followed by a single round-robin format. The winners will go to the grand finals while the runner-up will play in the semifinals and the remaining two will go to the quarter-finals. From the quarter-finals to the finals, these matches will be regarded as the knockout stage.

A total of 19 teams will be divided into two conferences namely the WRL CN and the WRL APAC. The teams are as follows.

WRL Asia Season 2 features a massive prize pool of ¥2,500,000 (almost $350,000). The allocation for each team is as follows.
