Ollie’s Passive/Trait
Ollie’s trait charges his Super whenever he takes damage from enemy Brawlers or their spawnables, with the Super’s charge rate varying based on the amount of damage the enemy deals.
Ollie’s Attack: Bring the Ruckus
His main attack, Bring the Ruckus, unleashes soundwaves from his hoverboard that deal damage and pierce through enemies, allowing you to attack multiple Brawlers.
Ollie’s Super: Hypnotize
With his Super, Hypnotize, you can dash forward with a hoverboard trick while charging a music blast, which deals damage and hypnotizes all nearby enemies for 2.5 seconds.
However, while charging the music blast, you can’t attack, but hypnotized enemies are drawn towards you and they cannot be controlled.
Tips for using Ollie’s Super
- Use it to initiate a fight: You can use his Super to initiate a fight with the enemy Brawlers, dashing forward and hypnotizing your nearby enemies for a few seconds while also dealing damage. As a Tank, you can sustain significant damage so feel free to initiate with his Super.
- Launch a surprise attack: Ollie’s Super is also great for surprise attacks, as it lets you pull the hypnotized enemy towards you. This can be very useful in certain game modes to catch your enemies off guard.
- Take advantage of Renegade Star Power: You can pair Renegade with your Super to gain additional shield after dashing forward with the Super. While the shield lasts only 4 seconds, it is very useful in crucial scenarios.

Gadget
Regulate
When activated, Ollie jumps and performs a rad kickflip, hypnotizing all enemies at the landing spot for 1 second. With this gadget, you can jump over walls or water, and while airborne, you become immune to all damage except for status effects and damage over time.
All Eyez on Me
When you use this Gadget, Ollie’s next attack hypnotizes any enemies it hits for 1 second.
Star Power
Kick, Push
With the Star Power, Kick, Push, Ollie kicks off his hoverboard while he is near walls, gaining a 20% movement speed boost.
Renegade
When you use this Star Power, Ollie gains a 4000 shield that decays over 4 seconds, after he dashes forward with his Super.
Best Game Modes for Ollie
Although Ollie’s damage output is quite low, his high HP covers that part along with his hypnotizing element. He is better at close-range maps or where team support is essential. Here are his best Modes:
- Brawl Ball: Brawl Ball is hands down his best mode, where Ollie shines with his Super and Renegade Star Power.
- Brawl Ball 5v5: He is good in Brawl Ball 5v5 too, not as effective as the 3v3 one.
- Gem Grab: Useful for stopping enemies with most gems for your team to attack, or distracting enemies in the front line.
- Hot Zone: He is also great in Hot Zone.
- Duo Showdown: He can be effective, but requires a good teammate.
- Other Modes: Decent if your team provides good support, and it depends on how well you use him.
Best Brawler Combination with Ollie
Ollie is an extremely tanky Brawler, with over 11200 HP at max level, allowing him to withstand significant damage from Enemy Brawlers. So, in this case, burst damage Brawlers works great with him, like Shelly and Spike. Additionally, having a healer on the team, such as Byron, can further prove advantageous.
Best Gears for Ollie in Brawl Stars
Shield Gear
As a Tank/Taunt Brawler, the Shield Gear is quite advantageous for Ollie, allowing you to sustain more damage from enemy Brawlers. This gear grants you an additional 900 health as a consumable shield, which regenerates in 10 seconds when you are at full health.
Health Gear
I believe for a Tank Brawler, faster HP regeneration is crucial during matches, and in this case, Health Gear is very useful for Ollie. This gear lets you recover HP 50% more effectively during battles and it works great with the Renegade Star Power.
Gadget Charge Gear
Both of Ollie’s Gadgets can hypnotize the enemy, making the Gadget Charge Gear a great choice for his build. This gear allows you to use his irritating gadgets again, giving you one more chance to hypnotize your enemies and gain an advantage during your match.
