How to fix connection issues and errors in Diablo Immortal

Blizzard’s new ARPG (action role-playing game) title Diablo Immortal was released on June 2. When the game was first released worldwide players were automatically assigned the best servers for them based on their geographical location, language, and social components.

Since the game supports cross-play and cross-progression, users have encountered connection issues in the game that have become an obstacle to enjoying the game.

One of the very first things that could be causing a connection error issue to pop up on your screens could be very basic. It is advisable to go to Diablo Immortal’s official website and check if all the servers are fully operational. A connection issue might as well be the reason because a server might be under maintenance.

How to fix Connection issues in Diablo Immortal

If servers are not on maintenance, users facing connection issues can directly head over to Blizzard’s official support page for their customer support service. Follow these few basic steps to diagnose the connection issues:

  • Make sure the app is up to date
  • Try swapping from wireless to your network data connection, or vice versa
  • Restart your device and try again
  • Ensure that your device meets the minimum requirements to run Diablo Immortal.
  • If you have an Android device, access your app storage in device settings and clear the Diablo Immortal app cache/data
  • If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the game

Users can start the process by clearing the cache on the device for Diablo Immortal, this might solve the issue. However, if the issue persists, users can go ahead and clear all data related to Diablo Immortal on the device and see if it fixes the issue.

Remember that deleting data related to the game on the device will not erase players’ progress made in the game, as all game progress-related data is stored in Battle.net servers. Deleting the data related to the game will only bring it to its initial state. For users playing on a PC, connecting to your router through a LAN cable would be more advisable than connecting through Wi-Fi because a LAN cable usually minimizes connection or latency issues for the game.
