eFootball 2023: AC Milan Epic and Big Time Cards review

Time for the Milan club cards review!

The popular KONAMI title eFootball 2023, although it was released late in the season, it has kept a steady pace. Whether it’s the new season updates that have been constantly released or the more card types and designs that have been dropping week in and week out, everything is slowly looking impressive and we can’t wait to see more after the roadmap reveal and the latest version 2.5.0 update has ticked the almost all boxes. Last season, we had some very special Legendary and Iconic Moments cards. Several people have amassed an incredible collection of Iconic Moment players from various clubs. Similarly, some remarkable Epic and Big Time cards have been issued in eFootball 2023 this season, and we will review AC Milan players this time.

eFootball 2023: AC Milan Epic and Big Time Cards

Big Time is a more premium card for a player, with higher stats and an even better design, for those who are unaware. Epic Cards are similar to the Legendary equivalent in PES, though both types of cards currently coexist in eFootball. AC Milan, one of the sponsor clubs, has an impressive share of such high-level cards, so make sure to grab them the next time they appear.

This review will be divided merge both the Big Time and Epic Cards and will mention the type as well. If a player has both card types, it’ll be mentioned with a separate review and build. A total of nine cards have been released to date.

Frank Rijkaard

  • Position: DMF
  • Playing Style: Orchestrator
  • Card Type: Big Time

Player Overview

Rijkaard, as an Orchestrator in the game, has a nice blend of offensive and attacking prowess. Rijkaard possesses outstanding balance in all attributes, including passing stats and defensive abilities. You would be surprised with the offensive contributions he adds even with stats not as impressive enough to be active as an attacking unit.

Defensively he is very sound, and his physicality is rock solid. He rarely falls out of position and with the passing department, he is underrated as a playmaker too having a good number of passing skills. His Man Marking ability is really good against attacking midfielders, which will help you in controlling the midfield without worry.

Player Build

Natural Build will be fine for Rijkaard.

Rafael Leao

  • Position: LMF
  • Playing Style: Roaming Flank
  • Card Type: Big Time

Player Overview

Although a Rafael Leao card is not something we needed, he is one of the best wingers in the game. This Big Time card is his best version, and on the pitch, he is a beast, which perfectly replicates his real-life performances. He is a solid dribbler, although we noticed a poor first touch might work against you while dash dribbling.

Very pacy, he is a rapid threat on the left flank, and with decent finishing with a strong right foot, some of his long shots are very powerful. he has good curling technique, which sometimes weirdly doesn’t get a good power which makes it inaccurate. A great roaming flank with fine playmaking abilities, a pick you should look out for sure.

Player Build

Speed, Dribbling, and Dexterity are important traits, so keep them balanced.

P. Maldini

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Destroyer
  • Card Type: Big Time

Player Overview

One of the best defenders of his time, Maldini in the game is absolutely wonderful as well. He will directly slot into your starting Xi, because of his versatility and defensive prowess. Even though Maldini’s stats don’t reflect him being a physical beast, his ability to block the movements are excellent, which comes with his defending attributes that need no mention.

He is one of the quickest defenders, so tactics wouldn’t matter to him. Doesn’t get fooled by the low-heading stats, because he is excellent at defending corners, and bullies most of the top physical strikers in the game. A good on-the-ball player who will suit any manager team playstyle, and with the help of the Weighted Pass skill, the distribution is solid.

Player Build

Natural build with more emphasis on defensive abilities.

Marco Van Basten

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Goal Poacher
  • Card Type: Epic

Player Overview

Marco is one of the best strikers of all time, and his cards in the game are undoubtedly the most sought. This Epic card, however, has a Goal Poacher style instead of his usual Fox in The Box playstyle, which makes his movements even more goal centric while being fantastic in the box. He does impress with his great positioning and awareness.

Even though he isn’t the paciest of strikers, he works absolutely perfectly as a sole striker thanks to his all-around balance in physical and technical aspects. He is one of the best finishers in the game, with plenty of skills up his sleeve that makes him a deadly addition to any squad. Giving him the Aerial Superiority skill will make him a good contender to be at the receiving end of the crosses with the Heading skill already present.

Player Build

Build shall focus on Awareness and Finishing. Do not worry much about his Stamina, allot few points.

F. Inzaghi

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Goal Poacher
  • Card Type: Epic

Player Overview

Inzaghi remains one of the best Super Sub players in the game and is a very deadly striker no matter how his stats are. He’s a pure Poacher, which means if you are trying to play a pure Possession-based tiki-taka football, drop the idea now, as the new gameplay doesn’t give scope for bad passers.

His finishing and positional awareness are off the charts, there is no doubt about it. He is a decent header of the ball too, who comes with a good enough pace to beat his man. On the ball he isn’t good, as he often has a bad touch, so basically try avoiding a touch-and-shoot technique. First Time Shots are his best trait, which helps in racking more goals to his name.

Player Build

Focus on the Awareness and Finishing, the rest of the stats doesn’t make much of a difference.

Ruud Gullit

  • Position: AMF
  • Playing Style: Classic No. 10
  • Card Type: Epic

Player Overview

Most want Ruud Gullit because of his versatility in every position. You throw him at any position you like, be it a CB, DMF, or even as a winger and he will deliver World Class performances. He is nothing less than an engine on the pitch, shines everywhere on the pitch you play him.

Gullit has to be one of the best-attacking midfielders purely on a statistical basis because you won’t find any weakness in his game. His One Touch Pass is superb for fast movements and the reason behind this is his agility. With good pace and set-piece-taking ability, Gullit at AMF is always a threat to the opposition, and the best player in your squad.

Player Build

Balanced build across all attributes.

A. Nesta

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Destroyer
  • Card Type: Epic

Player Overview

The defender who partnered with one more great alongside, Nesta was always acclaimed to be one of the first picks in any Epic pack that arrives if he’s there. The player show has him leave no complaints and rightfully so. What makes Nesta the perfect defender is he is really good at tackles, and if you are pairing him with Maldini, you are in for a treat.

A. Nesta Epic

His ball-playing ability is not world-class level, which might be an issue if you love lobbing balls high and long. Nesta wasn’t acclaimed for his pace, but the positioning of Nesta is what you need during counter-attacks, and that’s what good awareness does. He has the top skills for a defender, and what else do you need to be one?

Player Build

Physicality needs a buff, so some allocation there would improve his physical duels more.

M. Ambrosini

  • Position: DMF
  • Playing Style: Anchor Man
  • Card Type: Epic

Player Overview

Even though not a popular name in the football community, Ambrosini is an AC Milan legend purely for his endless contributions on the pitch for the club. Endless does come with another meaning, that his AC Milan Epic Card is an exceptional runner on the field, thanks to his stamina in eFootball 2023.

M. Ambrosini Epic

His best traits are off the ball, and even though the stats in the defending side of the game aren’t that impressive, he is really good in that Anchor Man role, who excels in reading the ball well and intercepts it neatly. His passing is decent, but when paired with a creative midfielder, he performs much better and does not commit mistakes.

Player Build

Natural Build would be good.

Dida

  • Position: GK
  • Playing Style: Offensive Goalkeeper
  • Card Type: Epic

Player Overview

In the game, there are plenty of goalkeepers who perform better, and out of the lot few are exceptional. Dida’s case is interesting in this regard, as he doesn’t fall into either category. The reason behind this is if he has a great game, he is unbreakable, and on an odd day, he lets every shot in.

Dida Epic
Image via KONAMI

His consistency is bad, and there are no other words to explain it. On paper, his stats look decent, but he isn’t the keeper people are looking for. His catching is a concern along with clearing, while his positioning is good. Overall, if you need an Epic card at GK or no other picks to choose from, chose him, else better find another goalkeeper.

Player Build

Catching needs to be reflected properly, so allocate more to the attribute.
