eFootball 2026 continues its 9th Anniversary celebrations with another free reward opportunity, this time through the Show Time Worldwide Selection Contract. There are four picks available, all part of the voting campaign during the v5.4.0 update.
With Joshua Kimmich, Nico O’Reilly, Matthijs de Ligt, and Ferdi Kadıoğlu included, the selection feels much more balanced across different positions and playstyles. But since you only get a single pick, the decision matters more than usual.
Some cards clearly fit the current meta better, while others may only work depending on your setup. So before locking in your choice, here’s a full breakdown of the best player to pick and how each option ranks overall.
eFootball 2026 Show Time Worldwide Selection Contract players
Joshua Kimmich
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
- Show Time Skill: Visionary Pass
This feels like a very standard Kimmich card, which honestly isn’t a bad thing. He’s one of those players who can comfortably slot into multiple roles, you can use him at CMF, DMF, or even fullback if needed. Orchestrator suits him more as a CMF because of how involved he gets in possession while still offering strong defensive work.

On the ball, this should feel clean as usual. Passing is obviously the standout part, and Visionary Pass fits him naturally. Defensively as well, the profile is solid enough. The pace and balance improvements compared to older Kimmich cards are nice too, because that was sometimes where he felt slightly limited in transitions.
Suggested Skills: Double Touch, Man Marking, Low Lofted Pass, Heading, Blocker
Suggested Booster(s): Defending

Nico O’Reilly
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Full-back Finisher
- Show Time Skill: Long Reach Tackle
This is probably the most hyped card from the selection, and it’s easy to see why. The profile is ridiculous for such a young player. Tall, technical, strong physically, good passing, smooth dribbling, solid defending, he pretty much does everything apart from elite shooting.

There’s a reason people are excited about this card. Even though KONAMI released him as an LB, I genuinely think CMF is where he looks most interesting. Yes, there’s no activated playstyle there, but the overall profile suits midfield so well that it honestly doesn’t matter much. “Mini Gullit” comparisons are really strong.
The height, combined with technical ability, is the standout part. Usually, taller midfielders feel stiff, but this card doesn’t look like that at all. Long Reach Tackle is also a huge addition because, in the middle, you’ll actually get more value from it. Winning interceptions and stretching into tackles in midfield sounds perfect.
Suggested Skills: Blocker, Low Lofted Pass, Man Marking, Sliding Tackle, Pinpoint Crossing
Suggested Booster(s): Agility, Defending

Ferdi Kadıoğlu
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Offensive Wingback
- Show Time Skill: Edged Crossing
Ferdi is one of those very cheeky utility-type cards. Releasing him as an LB almost feels misleading because you probably won’t even want to keep him there full-time. He can comfortably play on both sides and in multiple positions, amazing utility right here.

Technically, the card looks very smooth. Good dribbling, sharp movement, strong stamina, and passing good enough to actually make use of Edged Crossing properly. Defensively though, he’s not really built to be a stay-back fullback. That’s why I think a balanced build makes the most sense.
The weak point is obviously aerial presence and physicality. Against stronger wingers physically, you’ll notice the difference. Still, as a utility option, this card looks fantastic.
Suggested Skills: Fighting Spirit, Flip Flap, Low Lofted Pass, Through Passing, Marseille Turn
Suggested Booster(s): Breakthrough, Crossing

Matthijs de Ligt
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Build Up
- Show Time Skill: Aerial Fort
Honestly, this just feels like a slightly upgraded POTW-type De Ligt card more than a truly special CB release. Compared to older De Ligt cards from early eFootball days, this doesn’t feel anywhere near that level. Back then, he genuinely used to be one of the best CBs in the game.

Now, the pace limitations and slightly toned-down defensive profile make him feel much less dominant compared to the current elite CB options. Still usable for sure, just not a card that feels meta-defining anymore.
Suggested Skills: Sliding Tackle, One Touch Pass, Blocker, Man Marking, Acrobatic Clearance
Suggested Booster(s): Defending, Aerial Strength
Suggested Progression Points Allocation for Matthijs de Ligt

Whom to pick from the eFootball 2026 Show Time Worldwide Selection Contract
When it comes to picking from this selection, it is a battle between Kimmich and Nico O’Reilly, these are a couple of levels above the rest.
Kimmich is the safer option because you already know exactly what you’re getting, but Orchestrator midfielders are easier to find nowadays. Nico just feels more unique overall, especially with the player ID and that hybrid midfield/fullback profile.
So the priority for choosing your cards is as below.
Nico O’Reilly > Kimmich > Ferdi Kadıoğlu > Matthijs de Ligt
