No Sooner Retro Stars finished, EA brought back the fan-favorite Champions League Event. With Coronavirus affecting football worldwide, and the Champions League getting delayed, an event is released by EA post the completion of the tournament. As Bayern Munich pretty much won the competition with some dominance, we fans get to be a part of the mega event with FIFA Mobile 20 Champions League Finals Event with what’s more a free to play Prime Icon!

- Event Duration: August 27th – September 17th (21 days)
- Ads: 3 ads daily giving 3 UCL Energy per ad
- Coin Packs: 7 Coin Packs weekly giving 12 UCL Energy for 150,000 coins
- Energy: UCL Energy refreshes 1 per hour with a max of 18 UCL Energy

FIFA Mobile 20 Champions League Finals Event Flow
Prelude
Prior 10 days to the release of the actual event, EA released a bonus Prelude, celebrating the past released players from the event.
Players would have to play a series of matches to earn in-game resources and past Champions League Players. The matches were divided into groups based on the original group stage event of this elite club competition.
Main
In the Main tab, you will be playing a series of the same skill games that progress in difficulty from easy to extreme. You can replay any or all of the skill games depending upon what difficulty suits you. The harder the skill games, the better the rewards. Play through these five Skill Games to earn UCL Points and Champion Points. No matter the difficulty you get 6 Champions Points regardless each and every time but the UCL points range from 5 to 20 each day when you play the first time. The next difficulty unlocks as you progress. Skill Games reset daily with new drills to play.
If you fail any of the skill games, you do get your energy back. So there is no reason not to go for broke and only grind the expert level skill games for maximum gain. This is also an energy-driven event where you can hold a maximum of 18 energy. There are also 7 weekly coin packs that give 12 UCL Energy for 150,000 coins each and 3 daily ads giving 3 UCL Energy each.
Additionally, there are milestones where you can earn Daily 10 Rare Rank Shards when you accumulate a daily total of 100 UCL Points. Earning 750 UCL Points weekly rewards you with a bonus of 100 Champion Points.
UCL and UEL Wheel
You will be using your hard-earned UCL Points on the UCL or UEL Wheels to earn Players, Coins, and Skill Boosts. You will be spinning the wheel for either UCL or UEL Players in either of the chapters. 100 UCL Points for 1 Wheel Pull. Earn a guaranteed Player after 8 pulls. It’s basically the same thing, a lucky spinning wheel handing out resources and players. Both Wheels will refresh with new players on September 8th. Thus they reset after 12 days.
Additional rewards will unlock along the UCL Wheel Path, depending on the amount of UCL Points you’ve spent to date. UCL and UEL Wheels both count towards the same UCL Wheel Path. The more spins you make either on UCL or UEL, the higher rewards you can claim down the UCL Path. Earn Coins, Shards, Skill Boosts, Training XP, or a Prime Icon 101 Del Piero!
UCL Leaderboard
The last element of this tab is the Leaderboard which is sort of something new. It is kind of like division rivals. Instead of Global and Local tabs, we have tabs for UCL and a league tab with your own league mates. Earn additional rewards for placing on our UCL Leaderboard. The rewards for these tabs are perks and rank shards.
Ranked by UCL Points spent, you can compete against other players and even within your league for the top spot! It’s something new, but it’s really just who spends more gems or money in-game. It also has to do with how far you are with the event.
Highlight Players
The other form of currency ie the Champions Points is used in the Highlight Players tab. This tab unlocks in 7 days. Redeem your Champion Points here for Highlight Players from the UEFA Champions League! Each of the players requires 800 Points and is 104 in OVR.
Additionally there are milestones here as well. Four milestones depending on how many Highlight Players you can grab. they give everything out from Rare Shards all the way up to the elusive Legendary Shards.
Champions Journey
The last tab is the Champions Journey. This one has also been locked this early in the game and opens next week on September 3rd. It requires a full Bayern team to play. Recreate the Champions’ road to the UEFA Champions League Finals by playing matches from their title run. Thereby you need a full Bayern squad to play.
Thus it requires 1 GK + 10 Outfield Players with no OVR requirement. Do not buy the Bayern players this early in the event. Right now they are very expensive. Wait for a few days to grab them up
SBC
Similarly, as the Retro Stars event, there are two different weekly SBCs, in the main tab which exchanges for Rank Shards, which you will use for ranking up.
You should be completing the SBCs but the longer you wait, the cheaper the players will become. It’s not that tough, each requires only 5 players, all of them being 86+ OVR, while two of them being UCL players. While the other SBC asks the same requirement only the OVR being lifted to 90 OVR.

After a half-decent Retro Stars, this Champions League is really an event to play out for. With some grinding and playing for three weeks, so here is our suggestion guide for the FIFA Mobile 20 Champions League Finals Event.
First and foremost as usual this is an event energy-based event. So never ever let your energy get filled out. Don’t let your energy refresh out. Never! Also if you fail the skill game you get your energy back, so there is no reason not to grind the final node of extreme skill game for maximum rewards.
Rewards
Thus from the math, it is seen that mathematically you can have a maximum of 27 guaranteed spins on the wheel of your choice ( either UCL or UEL) which guarantees you at least 4 player pulls no matter how ill your luck is. Now if you go all the way to the end the 101 Prime Icon Del Piero only takes 2500 Points accumulative which is thus equivalent to 25 pulls. it is more similar to claiming the Star Pass Icons.
You can easily gather 2500 Points from grinding the expert level Skill Game making this Prime Icon completely free to play! In fact, if you do the math fully, you can fully claim him buy buying only 5 of the possible 21 Coin Packs! Now here is the thing if you do not buy the coin packs, you might miss out on resources or players on the wheel so it’s yours to decide!
Buying only 5-7 Coin packs out of 21 Possible and taking all your turns, 101 Prime Icon Del Piero is Free to Play obtainable
Moving on to the Highlight Players tab, each of the players requires 800 Champion Points. You are gonna be earning 2244 Champion Points which is therefore more than enough for two player pulls. Thus Prime Icon is free. There is no way to use Gems or Fifa points to acquire more Champion Points right now to complete the further milestones. But who knows, something might be in stores, but obviously some P2P Chain Packs! Because otherwise you are gonna be 156 Champion Points short of a third 104 Player.
Champions Journey
Do not buy those Bayern players this early in-game. There are several opportunities to get the Bayern players before the tab opens up in seven days. So hold up just a bit. Right now they are very expensive, even the golds are outrageous. But with more players in the market, the prices will gradually drop down so don’t go after them right now.
You can claim one for free from the tab itself, high chances a gold player. You can go for the second offer for 1000 gems and get a Bayern Player. So now you don’t need 11 players but you need just 9. Going back to the Highlight players, there is a good shot of there being a 104 Bayern Player. You can use one of the players from there itself! Don’t forget that in this second month of the Weekend Tournament, there are Bundesliga player rewards as well. So you might pick up a Bayern player there as well. Just don’t go pissing away a bunch of coins, buying the Bayern team right now.

In conclusion, that’s the UCL event, in a nutshell. We have broken down everything we can. Two 104 OVRs are possible to free to play. There are very few options between which of the 104 Players you choose. This means that is available in this event isn’t going to be worth too much in the market. Everybody will claim two 104s, so they won’t be worth much. Additionally, you will be getting tons of resources, shards, some masters, and even a Hazard Key.

Just tell me which defender is best amongst the highlight players. i am already having baines ,sokratis,cannavaro and lindelof and i am in need of defenders only
Both are equally good, you may choose the one which suits you more in terms of skill boost though we feel personally, Upamecano edges slightly Kimpembe but other than that both are good enough to be in any team at this point in the season.
What about cannavaro ,is he overrated
Certainly not overrated, still helps with the marking and blocking. Also makes up for a bit of his short height with his jumping at times. But at this stage of the season, there are better defenders at the same or at a higher overall. But still though Canna comes for free, he shouldn’t be overlooked.
