FIFA Mobile 22 Champions League Event Flow
This is a whopping 7-week long event. Yes! 49 days, that’s the longest event we have ever had in recent times. From the Main Tab, each day you will play 3 Skill Games and 1 Match to earn UCL Tokens twice. Play three Skill Games and a Match every 12 hours to earn UCL Tokens. Similar to the Team of the Year (TOTY), this path is playable twice a day.
The UCL Tokens can then be traded in three different sections that have increased odds of a certain reward: Coins, Skill Boosts, or Players along with UCL Group Points. Thus, for every claim, you will also receive UCL Group Points. Each of these exchanges has a different probability of resources so choose your pick wisely. There are Daily Quests as well offering extra UCL Tokens for scoring a certain amount of goals or winning Division Rivals matches every day
There is an additional path of milestones as well for spending UCL Tokens on the exchanges. Using the UCL Tokens will give you progress towards the UCL Milestones, which have a variety of rewards and in-game resources. The rewards include Icons, 84+ OVR Group Stage Players, and Resources. The Icons include 90 OVR CM Roy Keane, Event Icon 94 OVR CDM Frank Rijkaard and Prime Icon 97 OVR CB Paolo Maldini. Needless to say, all of the Icons are pay-to-play exclusives.
Use your hard-earned UCL Group Points along the Reward Path for UCL Players and various rewards. The Group Stage is the place where you can spend your UCL Group Points to claim UCL Group Stage Players. Group A-D will be available at the beginning of the event and Group E-H will unlock on March 24th ie on week 2, so spend your UCL Group Points wisely!
Claiming the node on the left will grant you a UCL 93 OVR Player and progression towards unlocking the 93 OVR Player nodes for that Group. Keep in mind that you can only claim 1 Player from each group. Yes, just one! There are players from each and every group stage team in the event.
There is also a UCL Tournament tab that includes a weekly tournament of AI matches that simulates through the entire Champions League. The UCL Tournament is the place where you can play in your own UCL Tournament! You will start by choosing which group you want to join.
Then you can choose to play eight different matches, win any six of them to complete the Group Stage, and progress to the Round of 16. Win the Round of 16 to progress to the Quarter Finals, followed by the Semi-Finals, and finally, you can play the finals! Win the final match to claim a UCL Trophy Logo and an 84+ OVR Group Stage Player!
It’s basically a weekly Tournament of AI matches. There is no need to fear losing anything as there are multiple retries to win a single match if you can complete them within the given time frame. Additionally, winning the matches will also give you extra UCL Tokens.
UCL Token Exchanges
This time there are special UCL Token Exchanges live in the game. You have the opportunity to trade in UCL Players, Gold Players, and Elite Players for some more amazing rewards including UCL Tokens. You can head over to the Exchange in-game for more information!
There are UCL Token Exchanges available for 75 and 240 UCL Tokens respectively for Gold and Elite players along with UCL players in exchange for more UCL Tokens. Don’t forget to make these exchanges within the due time as players are currently available for dirt-cheap prices in the market.
There are also items and in-game resources for the event present in the Star Pass. The UEFA Champions League event comes with an all-new Star Pass. The Star Pass will also be 100 levels long and runs for the entire duration of the event. It’s no easy feat, so make sure you stay on track!
Complete Quests throughout the event to earn Star Pass progress, which includes rewards like UCL Group Players, new Emotes, UCL Logos, UCL Tokens, Group Points, and even several Icons. As usual, the free side of the pass is kinda boring whereas the paid side has a lot of stuff to offer.
Play Division Rivals Matches and complete daily/weekly Quests to progress. This Star Pass is massive lasting 49 days and looks like this time it’s worth the money. There are Points and Tokens both on the pay side and the free side with the players being only exclusive for the paid version of the pass.
So don’t forget your daily quests to progress through the Star Pass! Earning Star Pass Credits will unlock more rewards along the Star Pass path. There are two tiers to the Star Pass: free and premium. You can also use FIFA Points to move faster through Star Pass levels and collect rewards faster.
Now, the last thing that we have is the Challenge Mode. Yes, Challenge Mode is back in the Champions League! Challenge Mode returns in UEFA Champions League and you’ll be able to earn additional UCL Tokens by completing the UCL-themed Challenge Modes.
Keep an eye on the requirements though, the amount of required UCL Players in your active lineup ramps up from 0 to 6 as the event progresses. The Challenge Mode will be available from Friday to Sunday and on Wednesdays. Saturdays will be a bit different though; On Saturdays, the Challenge Mode contains H2H matches instead of the regular PvE matches. Therefore, make sure to brush up on your H2H skills.
So basically the Challenge mode is based on Team of the Year (TOTY) and Player of the Month (POTM) combined. So you will at least get three days without the fear of constant connection issues, lag, and other crap that we are still facing with the Head-to-Head mode.
FIFA Mobile 22 Champions League Event Currencies
- Earn them by completing Skill Games and Matches in the Main chapter, in the UCL Tournament by claiming completing Matches, through Daily Quests and Login Rewards, winning Matches in Challenge Mode, through the Star Pass, and by completing Exchanges.
- Spend them in the Main chapter to claim UCL Players.
UCL Group Points
- Earn them in the Main chapter by trading in UCL Tokens and through the Star Pass.
- Use them in the Group Stage chapter.
Running the Math for F2P Players
As per our calculations, the following sums up the chances for F2P Players.
|UCL Tokens||UCL Group Points|
|Free Star Pass||2360||12500|
|Premium Star Pass||5720||23000|
Once again, your Points solely depend on how far you can progress on the Challenge Mode with your team. Missing out on a few H2H wins won’t affect you much with claiming the 93 OVR players but it will affect your total UCL Tokens and hence UCL Group Points.
Total a minimum of 16675 UCL Tokens and a maximum of 17305 UCL Tokens available free-to-play based on your H2H wins in the Challenge mode
These UCL Tokens in turn will be traded at the Token exchange for UCL Group Points, the total hence leads up to:
Total a minimum of 46800 UCL Group Points and a maximum of 48060 UCL Group Points available free-to-play based on your H2H wins in the Challenge mode
We usually never suggest buying the Star Pass but if you were able to spend your $10 on the game even once, this is the time when it is definitely worth it. The Pass does appear to be worth it and will make the difference between what you can claim and what you can’t.
FIFA Mobile 22 Champions League Event Tips and Tricks
After a decent TOTY, Champions League is a decent event in FIFA Mobile 22. It has a little amount of grind, with daily skill games and matches to play. So here are our additional tips and tricks to help you get the best from the event. It took us a while to get these answers and calculate everything so let’s explain it here.
Now tips for the event. Play everything. Be excited that there’s no event energy or stamina involved anymore in the new season. We’re not dealing with the constant fear of energy getting wasted and full and neither has there been a single ad since the game was released. So yes, definitely enjoy it while you can.
Group Stage Players
|Player||UCL Tokens||UCL Group Points||Gems required|
|93 OVR Group Stage Player||18000|
|90 OVR CM Roy Keane||18000||41325|
|94 OVR CDM Frank Rijkaard||25400||143925|
|97 OVR CB Paolo Maldini||33000||278825|
From the table above you can clearly see you can easily grab at least two of the 93 rated Group Stage players for free-to-play. One thing to you need to remember is that the way you claim a 93 is they’re basically a milestone reward for exchanging 18000 UCL Group Points ie 6 times in the player exchange.
Remember you do get to choose which player you want to unlock but you can only get one player from each group so don’t trade more than six times in any specific group because it’s going to waste your opportunity. So don’t go trading in 12 times in a single group and then wonder why you can’t unlock two players from the same group
Two 93 OVR UCL Group Stage Players are available from the event free-to-play
For a change, you may opt for just buying just the 93 rated player you want from the market and only claiming the players, based on the highest perceived value of the player at that time in the market. So monitor the values of the individual players in the market, and pay attention if claiming and selling them instantly is your way to go.
In this UCL Tournament, you’re going to pick one of the eight group stages. Note that you can choose to pick any group as there is no assurance that you will get players from that particular group.
Once picked, all you have to do is have to play through these eight matches home and away legs for the four teams in the group you need to win six times to move on to the round of 16. Then the round of 16 you got to win both of those to move on to the quarters. Once you win both of those you move on to the semis and then finally the final match.
You’re just going to have to stay up on this and they’re going to unlock daily throughout the course of the week and you don’t want to miss out. So just pay attention and don’t let the week go by without completing this each and every week. And then once you win the final you get another 84 OVR UCL player.
Don’t panic on the head-to-head days especially if you’re in a region that struggles with connection issues where you’re getting disconnected or your opponent’s getting disconnected. If you can’t play against the lag or if you just can’t even play head-to-head it’s not going to make a huge difference.
|Week 2||1 UCL Player|
|Week 3||2 UCL Players|
|Week 4||3 UCL Players|
|Week 5||4 UCL Players|
|Week 6||5 UCL Players|
|Week 7||6 UCL Players|
Now also there will be increasing lineup requirements for the challenge mode as discussed earlier as the event goes on. In week one there’s no requirement but in week two, you have to have one UCL player in, week three two, three, and week four all the way out you need to have six in the last week of the event to be able to get into the whole challenge mode.
It’s pretty straightforward and you’ll just need to win your matches to maximize rewards but if they’re anything like Team of the Year mode it shouldn’t be that bad on the AI match days it’s just that one head-to-head match that we’re going to be doomed.
As discussed earlier, free-to-play one can earn around 15415 UCL Tokens, and reach up to the Milestone 9 of 500 Skill Boosts. Grabbing the Star Pass will let you go additional two steps ie up to Milestone 11 along with the Icon 90 OVR CM Roy Keane. It’s not huge but does make little difference.
With the Star Pass, you will get a ton of in-game resources and the difference between 2x 93 OVR players and 4x 93 OVR players plus the additional 3300 Skill Boosts and everything else plus you get all of that back in FIFA Points that you’re putting in. So far the major event Star Passes have been the only thing, really worth investing cash in this season, and hands down the Champions League is no different. Thus,
Four 93 OVR UCL Group Stage Players and Icon 90 OVR CM Roy Keane is possible with the Star Pass
Please remember that we are not encouraging anyone to spend their hard-earned cash on the game and buy the Star Pass. It is completely one’s choice whether they want to spend on the game or not. But still, if you were saving to buy the Star Pass for once, this is the time. This is seriously the one time, buying and completing the Star Pass can give you an additional boost that might be worth it. The Star Pass also rewards you with a 95 OVR Event Icons ST Eusébio.
UCL Token Exchanges
Finally, let’s talk about the most alluring part of the entire event. Over 9000 Skill Boosts are available free-to-play from this event! Yes, over 9000 if you maximize properly, no kidding! With all the training caps there, skill boosts should be the priority for anyone looking to maximize free-to-play opportunities and get the most out of their efforts coins, and cash for the season!
Now if you focus on the UCL Token Exchanges, each one focuses on a different resource with the first one being all about coins, the second one being about players, but primarily silvers, and then the third one is about Skill Boosts.
The pack probability for the Skill Boosts states you should get the skill boosts at least three out of four packs ie 75%, with an average of 10, 20, or 40 Skill Boosts per pack. Now, if you trade in for Skill boosts from the exchanges, you get 513 Trades for a massive 7820 Skill Boost!
Therefore the numbers add up quickly in the event. Here is how you can maximize the Skill Boosts from the UCL event. Remember, Skill Boosts are present everywhere if you are paying attention!
- 7820 Skill Boosts from the UCL Token Exchanges
- 625 Skill Boosts from the Milestones
- 140 Skill Boosts from the Daily Login rewards
- 610 Skill Boosts from the Free Star Pass
The numbers lead up to a mammoth total of 9195 Skill Boosts.
Thus over 9000 Skill Boosts are available for free-to-play from the event
Additionally, if you consider buying the Star Pass, then an additional 3300 Skill Boosts from the Paid Star Pass, plus an additional 191 UCL Token Exchanges for Skill Boosts. These take the already 9195 Skill Boosts all the way up to 15425 Skill Boosts. Again these are numbers based on pack probability.
Thus over 15000 Skill Boosts is possible with the Star Pass
Therefore with more than 15000 skill boost up for grabs, if you buy the Star Pass, including all of the extra additional resources the two extra 93s, and the 95 Event Icon Striker it makes a massive difference, especially over just the next couple of months!
