The two new bows which are now introduced in Genshin Impact 2.7 Update are the special 5* bows from Yelan, which include the likes of Aqua Simulacra, and the 4* bow, which is Fading Twilight. Aqua Simulacra is obtainable by wishing in the weapon banner. Fading Twilight can be obtained by completing the Perilous Trail event.
Genshin Impact 2.7 Update: New Bows
Aqua Simulacra

Aqua Simulacra has a low base attack when compared to the previously released 5* bows in the game. Its base attack is even lower than some of the 4* bows. But, the biggest highlight of this weapon is its sub-stat, which is crit damage. It has the highest crit damage provided by any weapon, i.e. 88.2%.
Stats and Passive skill
Base Level | Level 90 | |
---|---|---|
Attack | 44 | 542 |
Secondary Stat Value(Crit Dmg) | 19.2% | 88.2% |
Passive: HP is increased by 16%. When there are opponents nearby, the DMG dealt by the wielder of this weapon is increased by 20%. This will take effect whether the character is on-field or not.
Best Characters to use this weapon
Considering the weapon’s passive, it is best for characters that can do off-field damage. This involves the likes of Fischl, Ganyu, and Yelan. This is the best weapon for Yelan as Yelan’s damage is scaled from HP. One can use this weapon on Ganyu if Ganyu is used as a sub-DPS.
Comparision with other 5* weapons
Thundering Pulse

Base Level | Level 90 | |
---|---|---|
Attack | 46 | 608 |
Secondary Stat Value(Crit Dmg) | 14.4% | 66.2 |
This is the only other 5* bow with Crit Damage as a secondary stat. We can see that it has a much higher base attack than Aqua Simulacra and a bit lower crit damage. Its passive grants 20% increased attack and further increases normal attack damage, based on stacks. Hence, Thundering Pulse is a better weapon for Main DPS bow users.
Polar Star

Base Level | Level 90 | |
---|---|---|
Attack | 46 | 608 |
Secondary Stat Value(Crit Rate) | 7.20% | 33.1% |
Polar Star has a crit rate as a secondary stat. This one also has a base attack, as much as the Thundering Pulse. Crit rate increases damage over time, hence it is also a very important stat. Its passive provides 12% damage in Elemental Skill and Burst, which increases Attack%, based on stacks. Polar Star is also a better weapon for Main DPS than Aqua Simulacra.
Elegy for the End

Base Level | Level 90 | |
---|---|---|
Attack | 46 | 608 |
Secondary Stat Value(Energy Recharge) | 12% | 55.1% |
It has Energy Recharge as a secondary stat. Its passive increases EM by 60 and gains stacks on damaging enemies. On 4 stacks, EM is further increased by 100, and Attack is increased by 20%. It is a good weapon for characters, whose Elemental skills and Burst stay on the field for a long duration. Elegy is hence a better weapon for support/sub DPS characters than Simulacra.
Amos Bow

Base Level | Level 90 | |
---|---|---|
Attack | 46 | 608 |
Secondary Stat Value(Attack %) | 10.8% | 49.6% |
It has attack % as a secondary stat. Its passive provides a great boost to bow users, who rely heavily on charged attacks. This is the best weapon for Ganyu who has very high damage in her charged shots.
Skyward Harp

Base Level | Level 90 | |
---|---|---|
Attack | 48 | 674 |
Secondary Stat Value(Crit Rate) | 4.8% | 22.1% |
Skyward Harp has the highest base attack among all bows. Its passive provides 20% extra crit damage and a bit of extra damage every 4 sec. Aqua Simulacra is a bit better than this.
