In Mighty Calico, understanding the mechanics of your weapons is very important as it can be confusing when you are engaging in battles. Each weapon works differently, so it’s important to keep that in mind while using them.
You have to be in a stationary position while maintaining distance to shoot your gun, while tapping your joystick lets you use your shotgun. Additionally, using the shotgun requires energy. Your sword plays a vital role throughout the game. You can use it for melee combat, and it also helps you clear obstacles.
In Mighty Calico, use your gun to target enemies from a distance, and switch to your shotgun when faced with multiple enemies. Those crabs can be very irritating so don’t take them lightly. Utilize your sword for close combat to replenish your shotgun’s energy. Make sure to avoid enemy attacks. Enemies like the snakes can do ranged attacks.
2. Dodging enemies is very important

For instance, you can choose between the Ricochetto Powerup and Shark Pistol Powerup. If you choose the Ricochetto Powerful, your bullets have the chance to ricochet, that is it can bounce off surfaces and hit other enemies.
On the other hand, the Shark Pistol Powerup enhances your ranged attacks by adding two projectiles to them. Both are very useful, but I suggest you go for the Ricochetto Powerup when you get the chance. Also go for Hearts Bonanza Powerup in the first selection, as your health is vital in this game.
4. Destroy Boxes and Crates
Approach every box that you come across in the game and break it open with your sword. Don’t overlook any boxes, as they can provide you with gold coins, skills, and drops heart when destroyed.
I missed a lot of boxes or crates at the start, which made my gameplay more challenging. They are crucial in this game, and selecting Heart Bonanza Powerup increases your chance of getting more heart drops from them. Heart Bonanza Powerup increases heart drop rate by 50%.
