Ferrothorn is a Tier 3 Raid Boss in Pokémon Go. It looks similar to a durian but flattened, covered in thorns, and has three black stripes circling its width. It also has green rims around its eyes along with yellow sclerae and dark pupils. You won’t have much of a problem fighting against it as it is a Tier 3 Raid Boss and you’ll be fine as long as you are using the right counters. So in this Pokemon Go guide, we will be talking about the best ways and counters using which you’ll be able to defeat Ferrothorn in the easiest way possible.
Ferrothorn in Pokémon Go
Ferrothorn is a dual Grass and Steel Pokémon with a maximum CP of 2624 at level 50. It is weak towards Fire and Fighting Pokémon and has a 2x weakness towards Fire-type counters. If you are a high-level player with the best counters, you can fight against Ferrothorn all by yourself. But if you are a low-level player or don’t have the optimal counters, I’ll recommend you to go in groups of at least two to three players into the battle.
Ferrothorn Moveset
The best moves from the movepool of Ferrothorn include Metal Claw and Power Whip. Both of them have a combined DPS of 55.2 and it is also the best combination of moves that you can use in both Pokémon Gyms and PvP battles. Other good options that I’ve found to be useful from the moveset of Ferrothorn are Bullet Seed, Flash Cannon, Thunder, Acid Shot, and Mirror Shot.
