This Generation VII starter is the final form of the fan-favorite grass starter Rowlet from that generation. Decidueye is A-tier Ranged-Attacker Pokemon which from the very first stage is an expert in dealing with ranged attacks. It has got both Grass and Ghost-type moves in its pocket. Pokémon Unite Decidueye movesets
Decidueye is arguably the best ranged-attacker in the game. One of the main reasons for the statement is that other ranged Pokemons merely have ranged attacks, but Decidueye’s ability ‘Long Reach’ makes it more powerful, the farther it is from its target. It is one of those Pokemon which evolve comparatively earlier in the game. Rowlet evolves into Dartrix at Level 4, which then evolves into Decidueye at Level 7.
Basic Attack
The basic attack, which is used by all 3 of Rowlet, Dartrix, and Decidueye, makes the user throw quills towards the opponent. The speed of basic attack increases after one hit. Also, with every third consecutive hit, the basic attack becomes a boosted one, which allows Decidueye to fire a few more quills together. However, when the attack is boosted, damage dealt by each quill becomes lower.
Passive – Long Reach
This ability perhaps makes Decidueye an ‘ahead-of-the-curve Ranged-Attacker to play with. It makes sure the farther Decidueye is from its target, the more damage it deals. This ability is applicable for all of the Pokemon’s available moves.
Ability 1 – Leafage
A preliminary grass-type move, available at level 1 as Rowlet. The user pelts bunch of leaves towards the opponent dealing damage while using this move. Also, the user’s Attack and basic attack speed increase shortly after using this move.
Ability choices at Level 7
At level 5, Rowlet evolves into Dartrix and after two more levels, i.e., at level 7, Leafage can be upgraded to either of these two moves. Being a dual grass and ghost type, Decidueye’s moves are also of either type.

Unite Move – Nock Nock

However, although while using this move Decidueye becomes immune to hindrances, it becomes unable to move.

Pokemon Unite Decidueye Gameplay Tips
Decidueye once at its full final evolutionary form, is one of the best attackers available in the game. Its ranged attacks make it one of the fearful forces to deal with in the game. However, remember that just like any other Pokemon, attacking with a lone Decidueye would bear no fruit. Try to move the ranged attacker alongside a defender like Mamoswine or Blastoise for the best results. A melee-type Pokemon works as the best partner, as Decidueye can deal damage from a distance. Early Game
Decidueye’s endurance is quite on the lower side, it is evident Rowlet’s endurance would be low too. Hence, it would be wise to attack from a distance, especially concentrating on farming first. Rowlet and Dartrix’s initial moves are quite weak, so focus upon early farming and building up your levels. At Level 1, choose Leafage instead of Astonish, because it deals more damage and can increase Rowlet’s attack and attack speed. Also, remember that Rowlet’s attacks would be more effective the farther it is from its enemy. Hence, at its initial stages, it is better to hunt wild Pokemons and then accompanied by melee defenders, attack opponents from distance.
After the evolution into Dartrix at Level 5, users may choose either between Razor Leaf or Spirit Shackle. In case you want a very aggressive performance from your Pokemon, and earn a lot of KOs, choose Razor Leaf to buff up your Basic Attack. Otherwise, choose Spirit Shackle in case you prefer to snipe from a distance.
Late Game
After Dartrix gets evolved into Decidueye at Level 7, the Pokemon can cause real havoc with its attacks. However, like before, attacks should be done from a distance for better effects. Be it Rotom or Drednaw, or any other opposition, just fire quills from a distance.
After a while at Level 8, either Shadow Sneak or Leaf Storm is available in place of Astonish. In this case, too, choose the move according to your role. However, if you prefer to keep distance from enemies while attacking, which you should, Shadow Sneak should be preferred. However, due to its low mobility, it is vulnerable to speedsters too.
Positioning
The priority should be the Top Lane, due to Rotom. However, venturing alone isn’t recommended at all, especially into enemy territory. At the initial stages, the middle lane can also be chosen, so that Rowlet can be evolved as soon as possible. Decidueye’s Spirit Shackle can also be fired into either of the lanes from a distance if the middle lane is chosen.

- Choose Leafage at first to hit multiple Aipoms at a time.

- Since Decidueye has low mobility, use eject button to escape risky situations. The move Shadow Sneak can also prove to a good run away move. - Try your best to save Nock Nock for Zapdos. Whenever Zapdos’ HP lowers to its half, unleash the Unite move in its direction. Also, this move can be really helpful while the opponents are busy attacking Zapdos, and their HPs have lowered down.
