Hello everyone! Today we’re going to talk about my best 3 multiplayer mobile games. The mobile world is large, and if you’re a noob beginner to mobile games, you may not know where to get started. The best 3 multiplayer mobile games that I’m about to list are played by hundreds of millions of people across the world, and once you try them, you’ll be forgetting to make yourself dinner, shower, and maybe even feed your cat.
1. Clash Royale
Genre: Strategy
Clash Royale is a casual and intense strategy game. The world is full of colourful and lighthearted characters (as you can probably tell by the image below… isn’t it crazy how all 3 of them have a moustache?).
The aim of the game is very simple. Place units on the battlefield, and try to destroy your enemy’s middle tower. These units fight automatically. Once the units reach the enemy’s tower, they will start attacking it. Sounds simple, right? The only thing is, the enemy (who is another player just like yourself) is trying to do the same to you, so when the units are near each other, they will (usually) fight each other.
What makes this game strategic is that there’s a wide variety of units. Each unit has a different use (some are meat shields for your other units, some deal damage to lots of enemies, some will ignore the entire enemy army and head straight for their tower *cough* Hog Rider *cough*).
Each round is 3-4 minutes (perfect for you casual mobile gamers out there) and if the timer runs out and both of you have your towers up, then whoever who has destroyed the most towers will claim victory. If it’s equal, then you will go into sudden death before the game awards you a tie.
What I love so much about this game is that it creates a lot of excitement and intense situations. Battles can (and often do) flip in a matter of seconds. You might be winning one second, have your attack fail, and then be on the defence the next. You might be a tower down and the timer is running out and you’re desperately trying to force sudden death. The enemy might be hammering away at your towers but you ignore them and go straight for their towers instead and try to race them. Whatever it is, I can promise that Clash Royal is filled with excitement for everyone. Oh and there’s also 2v2.
2. PUBG Mobile
Genre: Battle Royale / 1st and 3rd Person Shooter
Player Unkown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile is a battle royale game which is based on a realistic setting using modern weapons. Yeah, that’s right Fortnite. REALISTIC. MODERN WEAPONS.
You start by parachuting out of a sweaty plane filled with 99 other people who want to eat a chicken dinner (for those of you who don’t get the joke, when you win it says ‘Winner Winner Chicken Dinner’). The aim of the game is to be the last man (or woman) alive whilst taking out the other players. Run into buildings, gear up your character with armour, ammunition, guns, grenades, and vehicles, then let hell break loose!
As the game goes on, the game forces you and the other players into a continuously shrinking circle. Periodically, the circle will shrink. It will give you some time to get inside the circle before the fog engulfs everything outside of the circle. If you’re outside of the circle after the fog catches up, you’ll die (a very lame death) to the fog. If you’re the last man standing, congratulations. Unless you’re vegetarian. Oh yes, there’s also a team mode as well.
What I find so fascinating about PUBG Mobile is how it puts a complicated game and makes it play well on mobile devices. On the PC version of the game, there are quite a few controls, but PUBG Mobile manages to simplify it in a way which makes very easy (and fun) to play. Also, the map IS HUGE. To put such a large map into a game is pretty surreal. Honestly, the best part of the game, however, is going around and shooting people (I swear, I’m not like that in real life). Whether it’s with an assault rifle at medium range, an SMG/Shotgun at close range, or a Sniper for those long-range kills, every kill in this game feels so damn satisfying!
Duos and groups provide a different kind of magical experience. PUBG Mobile allows in-game voice chat, meaning that you can team up with your friends (you specifically because I’m lacking in that department) and use voice communication to tactically work together and outplay your opponents. ALPHA BE ADVISED, THIS IS BRAVO, ENEMY SIGHTED NORTH OF YOUR POSITION. OVER.
3. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
Genre: Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA)
Mobile Legends is a MOBA game where you play as a single character alongside an angry a friendly and polite team of 4 other players who are working with you to take out the enemy’s base. Yup, you guessed it, the enemy is also trying to do the same.
If you’ve heard of League of Legends, this is the mobile version, and let me tell you, it isn’t a cheap knock off, neither. The aim of the game is to take down the final tower in the enemy’s base. You play as a character and you use your character’s abilities to fight the enemy team. Being near a minion (which is an AI-controlled character), or taking out an enemy champion or tower grants you with gold. You use this gold to buy items, power up, and with your team, try to take down the enemy’s towers including the final base tower.
There are a variety of characters to choose from. Some are fiery wizards, there’s cute animals, and others look straight up scary. Each character has 4 different abilities, including 1 powerful ultimate ability. I’d recommend sticking to a pool of 3 characters and learning how to play them (I’ll admit, there is a bit of a learning curve, but playing a few characters makes it easier, which will mean that you have more fun).
As you play you will earn in-game currency, which you can use to unlock other champions. Choose wisely as the money used to buy champions doesn’t come too easily. I’d actually recommend looking around first. As for the item builds as a new player, you probably won’t know what to buy. Don’t worry, nor do I. There is a setlist of recommended items, which will appear at the best right of your screen when you have enough gold for them.
My favourite thing about Mobile Legends has to be the ranked system. Climbing up the ranked system feels very rewarding. I always feel the need to keep climbing and get higher and higher. Get higher on the ranked rating system that is, not what you’re thinking.
Closing Thoughts
I’ve played hundreds of mobile games, and these 3 recommendations are solid recommendations which I think any person will not only get in to, but find very addicting. I recommend you giving all of the best 3 multiplayer mobile games which I have mentioned here a try, and if you’re not hooked, I’ll send you a pet panda in the post.
