Action Square has announced Dungeon Stalkers, a PvEvP dungeon crawler game that is currently under development by Studio HG. The company released the trailer and additional details of the game. The multiplayer third-person action adventure is scheduled for release on PC and mobile this year.
In Dungeon Stalkers, players explore and attempt to flee a dangerous, hostile area while gathering uncommon objects and resources. Action Square enlisted Studio HG, under the direction of producer Dae-hoon Han, to work on the project last year.
Control the mysterious dungeon and search for wealth, glory and truth in Dungeon Stalkers
The new teaser video for the game showcases the Dungeon Stalkers that players command in their quest for riches, glory, and the truth while illuminating a mystery dungeon created by a potent curse. The brave knight Hilda and the mysterious hunter Urud are introduced in several action scenes, along with a glimpse into their motivations for taking on the terrifying dungeon. Before the release, six more Dungeon Stalkers characters will be made public.
Using Unreal Engine 5, Dungeon Stalkers presents each character’s distinctive traits and qualities from a third-person perspective. Different dungeon features can be deliberately used by players to gain the upper hand in PvP battles. Players can, for instance, leap from shadows to ambush opponents and win the game quickly by putting out a light source. In the dungeon, players will also run upon curses that abruptly and drastically alter the surroundings, as well as destructible armor that forces them to make split-second decisions about whether to fight or flee.
Producer Dae-hoon Han stated, “Dungeon Stalkers is our chance to tackle a genuinely enormous effort alongside Action Square. We are confident that our complex and dynamic dungeon, coupled with tactical and heart-pounding combat, will live up to the high standards of the dungeon crawler genre. Later this year, we are enthusiastic to provide a well-polished game with room for expansion for players.”
Action Square assembled an all-star team of developers, comprising seasoned producers and art directors from leading companies like Blizzard, Riot Games, Ubisoft, and others for Dungeon Stalkers.
Dungeon Stalkers global release date
Action Square has launched a Discord server and a Steam page in addition to the trailer release. However, developers did not specify a date for the release, the game is scheduled for launch in December 2023. The team will interact with users directly and take their suggestions into account for the official release.
