Battlegrounds Mobile India is going to bring two big events. The announcement of BGIS 2023 and the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Masters Series 2023 almost came out at the same time. Nodwin Gaming and Star Sports have partnered together to bring back the excitement of thousands of BGMI fans.

Set to kick off on the 4th of August, this event will be the biggest third-party tournament of BGMI Esports as it features INR 2.1 crore (over USD 250K). A total of 24 teams from India will fight each other to lift the crown. Global Esports were crowned champions of the first season, the BGMI Masters Series 2022. Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series 2023 will be held as a LAN event.

BGMI Masters Series 2023: Schedule and format

BGMI Masters Series 2023 will kick off on the 4th of August, 2023 at 9:30 pm. The event will run till the 27th of August. As there has been no announcement so far regarding the event format, the exact date on which the league stage and the finals will be held is unknown.

Nodwin did not mention any fixed format of the event. BGMS 2022, however, also featured 24 teams and played in two stages. From the weekly battles in the league stage, the top 16 teams were promoted to the grand final. There is a high possibility of following the same format.

The event will feature 24 teams for its LAN finals. Among them, 14 teams are directly invited, and the rest will be chosen from the Open Qualifier. Before the grand finals, BGMI Masters Series 2023 will start its open qualifier phase to promote to the main stage. The teams are listed below.

BGMI Masters Series 2023: Prize Pool

BGMI Masters Series 2023 will feature INR 2.1 crore (more than $250,000) as the prize pool which is one of the highest prize money awarded in a third-party event. The previous edition of the event, 2022 BGMS, featured a total of ₹1,50,00,000 (almost $1,83,500). However, the share of this huge amount is not revealed yet.

So, the BGMI esports scene in India is going to feel the craze of two big events soon. KRAFTON recently announced the second season of BGIS 2023, and it is offering ₹2,00,00,000 ($2,45,000) as well. The tables are hot, and the rise of the Indian esports scene has already begun. As the war comes ahead, teams will be ready with all their might to throw at the opponents.

Following the previous success in television broadcasts, the exhilarating battle of BGMI Masters Series 2023 can be watched live on Star Sports Network in Hindi, English, and Tamil. India’s free live game streaming platform Rooter will also showcase the event.
