Ever since the announcement of the popular battle royale Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) making its comeback to the Indian market has been confirmed, there are plenty of rumors surrounding the date of the relaunch of KRAFTON’s hit title. However, a recent surface of leaked images has been doing rounds on social media, which is supposedly an email thread that suggests that the relaunch date of BGMI is set on May 31 this year.
There is no evidence currently that the leaked images are genuine
Recently, gemwire shared images of a mail thread of what seems to be a conversation between a Google Developer and a Krafton Platform and Partnership Manager. The latter seems to be reporting an inconvenience, as the game that was intended to be released earlier has been delayed to May 31 at 11:00 am IST owing to technical difficulties.
Also as mentioned in the email, a technical review is planned to test the launch build of the game. Although the mail looks authentic regarding the topic of discussion, there is still no proof of whether this is authentic. As it stands, there has been no official announcement has been made by BGMI officials regarding the relaunch.
BGMI was first banned by the Indian government back in July 2022 following multiple allegations of user data breaches and concerns about data sharing and mining in China. The makers have been putting a lot of effort to unban BGMI in India ever since the ban was imposed and had even announced that it is trying to unban the game.
Permanent outfits are lined up for the players upon launch
It won’t be any surprise if we see plenty of campaigns going live upon the launch of BGMI. However, an early announcement has seen that there will be permanent cloth items on offer for free for the players on the basis of their participation in multiple events in the game.
Four special outfits for players that participated in the events would be available for free. The one that catches the eye is the Indian clothing in the middle which gives you a traditional vibe. The rest look decent too, so it is a great opportunity to stack up some rewards.
However, there is something interesting to note here. The event will run till September 6th. That’s nearly 3 months from June. So if we are following the 90 days trial approval, we might get to see a release before June 1st week. For now, the server is not online yet, and the wait is still on, but surely not for long.
