- The game had reached $2 Billion mark in 2021
- United States is the lead contributor for revenue, followed by Germany, the UK, and France
- In H1 2024, Coin Master ranked as the 6th top game globally by gross revenue
Coin Master, Moon Active’s fun “spin to loot” has been one of the go-to slot titles for the majority of the players, and the excitement has still the same over the years. This appeal has been reflected by the raking of revenue by the game, which has now generated over $6 Billion, making Coin Master cross a huge landmark.
Coin Master is seeing steady growth since 2020 with annual revenue of $1.2 billion
According to the report by Sensor Tower, the game has continued to generate close to $1.2 billion annually since 2020, which is a very high and consistent number. The game had previously reached $2 Billion in revenue in lifetime player spending in February 2021, and three and a half years later, this has tripled.
Initially released in 2012 by the Israel-based developer, Coin Master found its footing in 2016, and since then, it has seen exponential growth, especially during the pandemic years. There isn’t anything big in the gameplay. Spin, earn, loot others, progress. Just with a couple of clicks too. But this free-to-play, zero investment, and easy-to-understand mechanics made it a hugely popular game.
In H1 2024, Coin Master ranked as the 6th top game globally by gross revenue. Coin Master continues to dominate across key markets, ranking as the top-grossing game in both Germany and the UK, and securing the fifth position in the United States. In France, it holds the second spot, just behind another blockbuster casual game and fierce competition in the same genre, Scopely’s MONOPOLY GO!, which recently crossed $3 Billion in lifetime revenue.
The region-wise distribution of Coin Master’s revenue offers some fascinating insights. The United States is leading the charge, contributing a hefty 39%, or about $2.4 billion, of the total earnings. Germany takes the second spot, adding 11%, or $659 million, to the game’s revenue. These two alone help the game cross $3 Billion. Following closely are the UK, France, and Taiwan.
The $6 Billion revenue landmark and the consistent numbers are a huge testament to the growth of Coin Master, and it doesn’t look like the game is slowing down in “looting” massive income anytime soon. Predicting it will hit the $7 billion mark feels like a safe bet given its consistent revenue streak.
But honestly, I’m thinking it could even reach the $10 billion milestone by mid-2027; just three years from now. I won’t be surprised if it happens though. But, only time will tell if this will be true.
