Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 has taken home the “Mobile Marvels” award at the Devcom Indie Awards 2024. The game is a sequel to the puzzle adventure Dungeons of Dreadrock and is the second part of the Dungeons of Dreadrock Trilogy.
Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 brings 100 new levels with a strong female protagonist
Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 claimed the top spot, winning over runner-up titles like the simulation game Potion Punch Rivals and The Horticulturists. In the other categories, The Creative Overkill award went to SWAP/MEAT by One More Game, while Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree from Starvania claimed the Graphics Galore award. Zombie Rollerz: The Last Ship by Zing Games Inc. took home the Blockbuster title.
The creator of Dungeons of Dreadrock, Christoph Minnameier, posted on X thanking the jury and calling it a “huge honor”. The Munich-based developer also gave a shoutout to his team that made the game a possibility, tagging and crediting the individuals from each department.
Dungeons of Dreadrock – The Dead King’s Secret will continue in the universe of the first game, with a parallel story. You’ll step into the shoes of a strong female protagonist character introduced in the first game, uncovering events from her perspective during the same timeline. With 100 new levels, each packed with its unique storyline, and multiple endings, you’ll have the chance to make moral choices that shape how the adventure unfolds.
Following its win at the Devcom Indie Awards 2024, Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 has been nominated for the Best Mobile award at the Gamescom Awards 2024. The appreciation of the game is pretty high, so when it launches on mobile, we can expect the feedback to be the same.
