eFootball 2023 introduces Co-op Beta Test with its latest version update

Time for some co-op battles!

Along with the version 2.6.0 update that went live on the 8th of June for mobile and console, one more topic of interest has been the announcement of the Co-op Beta Test for KONAMI’s eFootball 2023. While the majority of people on mobile may not have heard of or experienced it, the remainder recognize the fun element of the feature and are eager to try it out. So, we shall look into what the Co-op mode actually is and how the schedule is planned.

eFootball 2023 Co-op Beta Test Overview

Introduction to Co-op

Co-op is a popular feature in the PES series of titles where the players will be able to play matches with multiple friends. Most commonly, the 3v3 Co-op matches are frequent, however, you can also participate with only two players as well.

Co-op gameplay allows players to compete against AI-controlled teams or other co-op teams by teaming up with friends or other internet players. Co-op matches usually required individuals to command certain positions on the pitch and collaborate with each other.

Schedule of tests

As per the announcement made by KONAMI, the test is scheduled to take place from June 8, 2023, to June 22, 2023. However, this might be extended to a further unannounced date, if the makers feel some extra assessment is needed since the major purpose of these tests is the online performance of the mode across platforms.

How to play Co-op during the beta phase

Players can go through the following steps to play Co-op matches.

  • Once logging in to your game: Dream Team>Match>Friend Match>Create Co-op Match Room.
  • The room code should be shared among two other friends to join the game.

Features and further information

Co-op might not contain any extra special features on release. However, KONAMI has mentioned that if the layer(s) is starting a match with 2 users, it will result in a vs AI match with both players playing on the same side and in case of 3 users all selecting the same side, it will result in a vs AI match.

The tests will only be against AI teams only, as this is just the testing phase. Do note that only the Friend Match mode will be made available for this beta test.
