eFootball 2023 version 2.6.0 update arrives with progression points reset, extra substitutes, and more

Two new features!

KONAMI’s eFootball 2023 will be getting the most awaited version 2.6.0 update on the 7th of June, which will arrive with some exciting and interesting features across all platforms. The update will follow the release of the version 2.5.0 update for the ongoing Season 4. eFootball has previously confirmed its plans for the 2023 season with an announcement that showcased the roadmap of upcoming game updates and features.

Reset progression points using GP

Already mentioned to be one of the best features arriving in the update, players can now reset the progression points allocated to a player using GP. It will help the ones whose build has been awkwardly done, and thus allocating them would be the best decision. However, it will not recover the trainers burnt on the player.

For now, the Progression Reset will be free for the players for up to three months after which the GP details will be known.

More substitutes for Dream Team

Although the five substitutions rule has been introduced to the game just like how it is working in real-life football, eFootball 2023 used to only allow a maximum of seven players on the bench. This way, not many options were available with two remaining after the five subs.

However, in this Summer update, you can pick more substitutes for Dream Team. Previously, there were only seven substitutes allowed. But with the version 2.6.0 update, it has been increased to twelve players.

Co-op beta test

KONAMI has also announced a Co-op beta test, aimed at evaluating the online performance of the system. This test is scheduled to take place from June 8, 2023, to June 22, 2023. Most likely, participants will be able to play cooperatively and provide valuable input on the system’s performance.

You can find the option in the Friend Match section. More specific details regarding the beta test will be communicated to the participants at a later date.

Other updates and changes

KONAMI alongside the changes mentioned above has also made some changes with respect to the gameplay and leagues as well. There are as follows:

  • Matches played under the Online Quick Match and Friend Match modes will now count towards the Match Pass progression.
  • The number of goals and assists recorded in those games at the time of disconnection will now be recognized towards your Objectives.
  • League as a player filter option has been added to several menus.
  • Gameplay fixes and tweaks.
  • Updated Match Pass.

Final Thoughts

While the latest update may not be as feature-rich as the previous one, it nevertheless improves the system significantly, making it a good update overall. The points reset and more substitutes feature will be great moving forward for the players, as both of these additions offer to give players more options to try and test their squads.
